The original Books Direct has been removed and the Top Gear offer has now been renamed 'Books Direct'.

Hope that makes sense

What are the full requirements of this offer? Is there a subscription involved?

Also, when I click on it it says....

The address you have entered is incorrect. Please correct it and try again.

Notify of broken site link to....etc

Does that mean it's a problem at their end?

The link seems to be working fine for me now. Maybe you caught it at a bad time.

As far as the requirements of the offer are concerned, I havent done it myself, but I understand that you have to commit to purchasing more books.

This is copied from the info on the left of the landing page via the link on kudos:

Many thanks for that Kudos....

Is there any way you can search the site to see what types of books they do?

Im not sure mate.

I think the books you buy in the future are picked from a catalogue they post to you once a month. Like I said I haven't done it so maybe a Books Direct member could clarify for us.

I'm tempted to do this offer as i have 4 greens on an account with Kudos i've had for around 18 months!!! And this is the only offer i can do really. But i just want to clarify what i need to do. Is it only just signing up for the £4.99 and getting the books and that's all or what? And also by putting my details in for the offer do i entitle myself to do anything else with the company (future payments etc.?). Also just wondering if there was any other choice of books, top gear isn't my biggest interest lol

Thanks Also since i've logged in last, some new things i've found, really nice website, loving some of the features! Good job!

All you need to do is buy the books for £4.99.

I've heard from some people that in the future, they send you books and ask you to pay for them or something like that...

There is no other choice of books, unfortunately

Don't do the books offer unless you want to be buying lots of books. This offer does not end after you get the 3 books for £4.99. Once you sign up you get tied into a contract which says you have to buy 4 more books in your first year!!!!!!! If you try cancel after your 3 free books you will get charged at £10 per book you didn't buy (so thats £40 if you didn't buy any).
Always read the terms and conditions before doing any offer. I didn't do this one myself but I was getting a friend to do it since she already did lovefilm on her own and isn't too sure about doing the gambling ones. I thought ok she can get the 3 books and just give them away if she doesn't want to read it. So I thought I would just double check that it is as easy as it appears and I quickly found out it wasn't :O

Even if you do buy however many books you need to in your first year, they'll still try and charge you with some bull about one or more of the books not being counted or something.

I was going to do this offer until I researched it more on their website. This definitely sounds like one offer to miss, especially after reading some of your experiences! Remember everyone, although the freebies scheme clearly works it's best to practice some dilignece and READ THE SMALLPRINT before signing up for ANY offer! Don't just accept anything in order to get your credits.

The thing about Books Direct is that they change their small print after you join up.
