A few small changes and something new :)

I have just uploaded a few alterations to all the sites.

The changes in the site mainly effects new users.

Basically the email verification is back. For those of you that have been around since the 'birth' of kudosnetwork, we used to have email verification but turned it off since a lot of emails weren't getting through. This obviously effected ratios considerably.

Due to a MUCH improved, dedicated mail server, I have now turned the email verification feature back on.

The big difference is that it is optional. If the user chooses not to verify their email address then that's fine. They can login and carry on as usual.

The reason for bringing it back leads me to my next point:

This is the new kudosnetwork newsletter which is launching today.

There have been lots of backend changes to kudosnetwork to cope with the newsletter system.

If you do not wish to get kudosNews please login to all of your sites and opt out using the My account page.

I will use kudosNews to keep you all up to date with freebie news and special kudos offers. I will also be sending site specific newsletters with updates etc. It won't replace eXceem by ANY stretch of the imagination, so don't worry about that.

The 1st issue of kudosNews will be in the post shortly but may take a few days to send to everyone so please be patient.

There might be a little treat in it for YOU, you never know

What is the point of email verification? I thought it would have been to deter spambot signups but if its optional doesnt this defeat the point?

Sure was

For those that have got a newsletter the expiry date at the top doesnt match the date at the bottom. The bottom date is the correct one.

Ive suspended sending and have edited the newsletter so the rest should be fine.

It only effect the first 200 or so.
