Explanation: Kudos ratios....?

This may shed some light on why the ratios have slipped recently on kudosnetwork.

Whilst I was without broadband and more recently in Egypt, I have obviously had limited access to the inner workings of kudosnetwork. Support tickets have been answered as normal but the others parts of the business have taken a back seat. By other work I mean further developing and enhancing the sites.

Due to the limited access I did not spot an error in my code for one of the autocrediters.

Short story is Coral and LOVEFiLM haven't been crediting properly.

Long story is when I submit manual credits I enter the details you give me into a spreadsheet. Due to human error the autocrediter was trying to credit a green to the apple site that should have been applied to the points site. The points site has exclusive offers on it that the other sites do not have. Therefore the autocrediter was attempting to look in the offers table on the Apple database for an offer that wasn't there. This was breaking the autocrediter and causing it to stop working at that point in the list. This credit was applied on the 17th September so the crediter was not working properly past this date.

It was crediting some offers but not all of them.

Good news is it is now fixed and all greens have been applied. The tracking was totally unaffected and it might be an idea to recheck your ratios now on any kudos sites you might be working on because they would have been enhanced due to the sudden influx of greens.

Anyway, back to normal now. No more holidays and no more time without broadband (hopefully!)

wow I wondered what happened today - got 6 greens and 6 pendings today

Was getting down about the lack of greenage recently but this has totally raised my spirits! Thanks

I'm on holiday just now so using my iPhone (can't stay away LOL) but got an influx of email notificationa from kudos today and when I logged on to check my account I had 6 extra greens and 6 extra pendings! Hope it's not a mistake LOL

lol went to oasis got back at 3 looked on my accounts and ive got some greens n some points so happier now soon some amazon should hopefully come my way

Thats because the bulk of your referrals seem to be coming from the USA or Canada where the ratios are significantly lower than here for obvious reasons.

What was the ratio on gifts.kudos before it dropped??

The general ratio on Gifts.kudos at the moment is about 1:10 overall.

It obviously all depends on your method.

one of my mates been getting 1:3 on gifts! Just need to find out his method now hehe.

i think its coz people from the USA have to complete like 3 or 4 offers to get credited as completed

people dont like giving away details that many times - they just wont think its worth it and think its a scam

The fact that you can refer people from America and Canada should be a positive and certainly shouldnt effect the amount of pendings/greens you get.

It might effect your ratios but not dramatically.

There isnt anything wrong with the autocrediter at this end.

Would you like the option of switching off the America/Canadian site for your referrals?

This would be possible although I don't really see how this would alter things to be honest.

EDIT: on a side note, others are getting very good ratios so I know everything is working. Not the news you wanted but nothing is broken because I am on top of it. The only reason that happened before is because I was without BB and was on hols.
