Your entries were removed because they were from offers you had completed yourself on the points site. The comp was for green or pending referrals, not offers completed yourself.


I hope this can be put to bed as these comps are just a bit of fun. If they are taking too seriously then there's a danger of them not being run at all.

I still stick to my guns. However grumpy that makes me look.

Hey, I know it's too late for anything I say to make any effect, however I do feel like the deciding method for the winner of this competition was very unfair. Say what you want, but I did not enter this competition and so have an unbiased opinion which I feel like posting as I believe it is relevant!

A competition runs for a certain period of time, from a set start date to a set finish date, with the factor that affects the winner(s) being produced/decided upon the answer and/or requirements being correct/completed within period of time (just to be clear, from the start date to the end date.

Like I said, I am on no side as I don't know either of the tied 'winners', and have no grudge or desired love towards either member, but see them both as respected active members of eXceem. I do not want to offend or upset anybody, but really do feel that the paragraph I posted above applies to every competition. If what happened was put into context with a much larger competition of for example winning a car, then you would see just how ridiculous deciding upon the winner from outside factors is, as there can be many different unfair reasons that one person would win over another. This is exactly why a competition is based upon only a few factors WITHIN a set time period, and why a competition is a competition, and should be equally fair to all entrants.

I understand your point there Delude, but Lee's already come on and said that the number of yellows within the competition time period still would have left Joe as the winner, so seeing as Lee stated the means of deciding ties as the number of yellows from the very beginning then there really isn't any argument to the contrary anymore.

All that can be said now is that maybe in the next competition any ties are decided on different factors, and that any issues with the terms of that next competition are brought up earlier.
