![]() ![]() ![]() | British GasI've read on MSE that it was a good time to switch suppliers so I'm thinking of doing the British Gas offer. I've got no idea how it works though so has anyone done this offer? Is it on contract for a specific amount of time? Do you have to cancel with your current supplier or is that done automatically? Any help would be appreciated, thanks! |

| Mini Mac | Re: British Gaswe switched a few weeks back and it was all done for us , the old company sent a bloke round to read the metre then received our final bill , when we joined the new company they sent a letter basically saying they would deal with it all from this point on . i guess it may vary who you are swapping from and to though |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: British GasThat may not be a bad thing. We don't have gas in our housing scheme at all but a couple of years ago we switched to Scottish gas for our electricity. Nothing but hassle. They charged something like double the amount direct debit that we actually needed to pay and my Mother couldn't change it since the bill is in fathers name. Eventually we switched back to Scottish Power. |
