Hello there, and welcome to exceem. Take your time to look around and introduce yourself. A few new members have been a bit confused by some of our jargon, so I've written a quick starter guide to help you out! Here's the deal....

You sign up to a site and complete one of their online offers, which often include a free trial (which you can cancel if you don't like the product) and rarely cost over a tenner. The iPod site gets a fee for referring you from the other site. You get 5 friends to do the same thing and the iPod site gets 6 fees in total. These add up to around £200-300 so they can afford to buy you an iPod and still make a profit. They ship your iPod free. Your friends can also qualify for an iPod in the same way.

Please ensure that you and your friends do not use the same computer or shipping address when you sign up. Lots of people try to cheat the system by signing up more than once so they are very strict on this. There's no point trying to sign up more than once yourself - they will catch you out eventually!

Exceem isn't a freebie site, but it's a community of people who can help. If you have 5 willing friends then good for you, but most of us find our friends are sceptical until they see your first free gift. Here you can trade referrals with someone else (you do another site for them and they do yours) or just pay someone to sign up for you. You can also join "congas" to get free referrals. If you don't want to do either, it's still useful to discuss different sites and any problems you come across.

Finally, here's some of the jargon explained:
Green: when someone sign up for you and their offer is credited
Yellow : someone who has signed up but either not done an offer or it hasn't been credited yet
Trades: These are either "green for green" (swapping referrals) or "green for cash" (someone pays someone else to sign up and do an offer).
Conga: This is a way of queueing up to get free referrals. You sign up for the person at the top of the line and go green. Then when they have 5 referrals, they go and the second person gets to the top, and so on.

The main thing you need to know here is NEVER post your referral link anywhere - it'll get you in trouble! Also, ignore any messages you get asking you to sign up for people - we do all trading in "public" through posting to avoid people getting scammed. If anyone tries to do stuff in private let us know!

I think that's about everything, but don't worry if you don't take it all in at once. Everyone here is very helpful so ask any questions you want in the forum.

Thanks for signing up and happy freebie hunting!
