eXceem - Hi there, frustrated newbie here

I guess it's my turn to introduce myself, as one of the new members.

If only I had seen this site before i signed up at ipodsgiveaway.co.uk I might have been on my way to an ipod by now. I currently have 7 greens and need 3 more for a 30GB ipod or 6 more for a 60GB ipod ( the one that I want).

I used to use ebay but now if I try to advertise the listing only seems to last an hour or so, mind you the one I did last saturday night lasted the full day and I got 2 greens so wasnt a bad day :smile:

Now, if only I could get the other 6 greens as easy I'd be happy but running out of ideas and as my credit card is no longer, that rules out more ideas. All help appreciated.

So, I look forward to reading more success stories and hope one day to write my own.

Not joined any of the giveaway network yet but those referrals seem quite steep - what are the offers ?

Not sure how much time/cash you have invested in your current offers but have you thought about cutting it loose or putting it on hold for a bit and starting with another site with less referrals / easier offers - freepay would seem a good choice but dunno if they do the 30gb...

The giveaway network has many offers, Ipods, Ipod nano, minimac, alienware PCs, Ipod shuffles and game consoles. I fancied the big Ipod which will be 13 referrals, I have 7 so far.

Havent spent a lot of cash getting the 7 referrals, they were acheived through ebay adverts but ebay seems to find my advert minutes after i post it, so no one gets a chance to see it.

My problem is that I no longer have a credit card so signing up for another offer will be very difficult. If only I had found this website first, I might have had my ipod by now, sigh.

Please see the "eBay tips and tricks" thread in the lounge for advice on getting your eBay ads to stay up. Having said that, they may well ban your account even if you follow all that advice.

Also try the trading lounge - you can pay people through paypal to sign up for you if you can't do their site.

Thank you for the reply Amanda. Before I became a member I lurked at the website for a while and tried the ebay "tricks" but still never got managed to get long before the listing was pulled, maybe someones got it in for me?

Only recent listing I got that lasted for the full day was done last saturday evening. I wonder if the ebay police dont work weekends? lol I'll soon find out

Have you made sure you've masked the URL properly? Also, make sure you don't use the word "free" at all! These seem to be the most important tips.
