im afraid to say it but i think you might need to redesign it. The Games and Ebook section are not inviting enough. From looking at thhe site it just looks like one giant advert. With the addition of adsense the site will be drowning in ads.

Back to my original point, the website doenst look like its about games or ebooks at all. those sections do not stick out enough. You need to make them a large image which is also a button instead of a small button

I think its a very good start, I would suggest perhaps looking for a Free Website Template (search on google, theres loads), and then using that to base your site on perhaps.

The thing I find not so inviting is that the colours are very pale, theres no enough bold and bright sections to it, and it looks very "columnised" if thats a word lol.

But I do think its a good start, check out some templates and see if you can get some new ideas.

No offense but its a terrible start. Don't worry though - everyone who builds websites makes mistakes at first. EVERYONE.

mak67uk - before you begin to monetize your site you need to build up regular traffic to your website.

'If I build a website people will visit it' - NO this is not the case (BTW - Im not saying this is your attitude).

You need to luck into SEO (search engine optimization) and other ways to sucessfully promote your website and drive traffic towards it.

Think about the kind of people that will be visiting your site. Will they be interested in betting? Do they want a free eBook? I seriously doubt it. They want to play games. Granted PokerStars.com may pay good commission but you won't get many sales, if any over a year! You need to mould adverts into your site.

You need to start by having lots of content on your pages. Content is king. By this I mean content is things like helpful information towards the end user. Perhaps you can review the games talking about pros and cons of each one. Maybe even review websites such as Jackpot Joy where people can register and play games for free (or pay to play and win if they want). Discreetly insert an affiliate link to the Jackpot Joy website - something like 'Visit Jackpot Joy to win prizes playing games' would be good for a link heading.

JackpotJoy pay approx £2 commission for every person who signs up and plays for free. If they deposit real money you get a further £20!

If Google see's that you have useful info on your site you will gradually move up the search result listings and therefore you traffic will increase.

Even little things like the picture just below your logo should be changed to text so Google, Yahoo etc can read it and index your page.

Remove all ads and just get some Adsense on there for now but mould it into your site correctly. Don't just force users to click adverts because soon as your site loads 99% will hit the back button. Remember content is king. Users want helpful informative content.

PS - Whatever yo do don't buy traffic from sites such as these. Yes you will get traffic but it wont be targetted traffic and therefore all the visitor will do is click the back button.

Hi Dave, Thanks for your advice. You have given me alot to think about and a very good idea in which direction i need to go.

I am a novice at this as you probably worked out and i don't have masses of time to spare.

I will get there in the end and also will look into the seo and maybe adsense as you suggested.

Wow theres a lot of information there! I think you should definately take the advice on board, whether its all of it or just a little bit, but in moderation - take your time

Also, maybe not right now, but perhaps have a forum on your website where people can go and discuss general things, games, free items (e books) etc.

Just remember that one of the best way to learn is through making mistakes

Two rules (repeating myself):

1. Content is king - useful reviews, pros/cons of games, type type type (but make it appealing with images and of value to the user)

2. Build up your traffic and then income will follow. This may take time i.e. months and months but it will be worth it. Try exchanging links with other websites that are similar (really simple - just get them to put your domain on some of their webpages and vice versa) - this may sound crazy (competitors n all) but Google like websites that have 'incoming links' from other sites of similar genre. Google interprets this as "WOW this site has lots of incoming links so it must be important/valuable and of importance. Therefore we will rank it high in the search engine reuslts".

Hi Dave, thanks for the tips mate. I think i am going to buy a ready made script. There are some very decent ones for around $40-$50. Great value for money! I joined the site you mentioned around a month ago - you are right, there is some very good stuf on there!
I will def take your adice re: links to and from other sites as well.

Hope you join us next year in the prem - that is if we manage to say there!
