Freebie Angel

Thought I'd start a new thread as old ones are fairly old.

Just a quick question for Jon really:
What does the 'Unique In' and 'Unique Out' mean? What do they show? I have some numbers under those titles but not sure what they are showing!

Other than that query I am loving Freebie Angel. Check it every day almost!

Just one suggestion: is their a way of removing my own IP so that every time I go on my website it's not logged??

Many Thanks in advance.
John

I think unique in would probably mean someone who visits your site who hasn't been before.

Also, there is a filter you can use to remove your ip from your google analytics data, if you use that?

edit: here's the filter: http://blog.merjis.com/2008/11/17/go...wn-ip-address/

It can't mean that as I've got 10ish per day 'unique visits' and maybe 1 or 2 more total visits but only get a 'unique in' once a week-month max but I've had more sign ups than that!

I'd do a print screen if I wasn't on my iPhone.

Since Oct 09 I've had 995 unique PVs ad 16 Unique In and I've had about 100-200 ish sign ups. Nothing adds up!

I'd guess:

Unique in - number of unique visitors to your site via the FreebieAngel listing
Unique out - number of unique vistors who found FreebieAngel via the link on your site

^ Complete guess! Might be right...

I'm inclined to agree with you there, except I'd say the other way around?

Unique in: number of clicks on the freebieangel link on your site
Unique out: number of clicks from freebieangel to your site

I only say that as I'm rank 48 and it's more likely people will click on the link on my site than find me on freebieangel?? (I have 16 "in" and 0 "out")

Think that pretty much sum's it up, in the early days of the net sites used to rate themselves by votes/clicks in/out etc, though with the days of social media they really don't mean that much, in time I will most likley remove them from the display

As for blocking IP's it can't easily be done

Quick FA question: Can you have several sites under the same username?
