| Super Moderator | New Freebie Site?Hi i didn't really know where to put this so i put it in this section. Anyway i came accross this new freebie site: http://www.rewardznetwork.com/index.html Its an american site, so for the UK people, they pay you via paypal (I'm in the UK too) They have really low refs rates so that makes me doubt if its legit or not. One offer i recognised was that free 25 music tracks one that kudosnetwork have. For chiggles yes they have spelt rewards wrong :P So what does everybody think? Scam or can it be trusted? Thanks Paul |

| Mini Mac | Re: New Freebie Site?Sitepal is the annoying virtual avatar thing in the bottom-right corner. eXceem has a supported/non-supported system for a reason - so you know which networks to trust. When you have a list of several fantastic and trustworthy networks, what on Earth would compel you to begin to explore unsupported networks? Stick to the supported networks and you won't get stung! |

![]() | Re: New Freebie Site?PayPal Acceptable Use Policy Prohibited Activities You may not use the PayPal service for activities that: section 3 relate to transactions that (a) show the personal information of third parties in violation of applicable law, (b) support pyramid or ponzi schemes, matrix programs, other “get rich quick” schemes or certain multi-level marketing programs, PayPal defines these programmes as follows. Pyramid schemes – Members receive money for enrolling other people into the scheme. PayPal considers online payment randomisers to be a type of pyramid scheme because the majority of commissions are paid for the recruitment of new members, and these systems typically operate by random placement within the programme. Ponzi schemes – Existing members receive payouts funded by new payments into the programme from new member fees or existing member contributions. Matrix programmes – Individuals pay primarily to be added to a waiting list for a product. The individual at the top of the list receives the product only after a set number of people have joined after that individual. 'Get rich quick' schemes – Include any type of self-employment, start-up business or investment opportunity where the claims of profit or returns on investment are unrealistic or unsupported. Multi-level marketing programmes – Individuals receive proceeds from their sales of goods or services and from those of recruited members. PayPal generally prohibits multi-level marketing programmes that offer payouts to both the seller and the individual(s) who recruited the seller. PayPal reserves the right to permit certain multi-level marketing programmes at its sole discretion. |

![]() | Re: New Freebie Site?Pyramid Scheme = Not applicable A pyramid scheme is correctly defined as .... A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, without any product or service being delivered Ponzi Scheme = Not applicable New members do not have to pay any fee which would go to me receiveing my free gift Matrix scheme = Not applicable Get rich quick scheme= not applicable Multi level marketing programmes - Not applicable as we are not selling any goods or services. There are some things that paypal will look at as well which could raise eyebrows such as Commissions offered to recruit new members The term commission is termed as ....... a form of payment to an agent for services rendered Technically we are not agents as we are not employed by the network. Also an Agent is defined as An Agent in Commercial Law is a person who is authorised to act on behalf of another (called the Principal) to create a legal relationship with a Third Party. My law is rusty but there is nothing I can see there that is against the Paypal T&c's for a network to send money as a cash transfer. If someone knows of the term and condition that forbids this please post it. thanks Last edited by Haggisuk99; 26-10-08 at 01:58 AM.. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: New Freebie Site?Hmm, I've always understood that it was against Paypal's T&C for incentive sites to offer cash through them. Haggisuk99 makes some good points though. Incentive sites are NOT pyramid schemes. Pyramid schemes run on a multi-level basis, so you rely on your referrals to do something, and their referrals to do something, and their referrals etc - forming a pyramid, which is why they are unsustainable. Incentive schemes run on a strict two tier basis; you are not relying on your referrals to refer other people in order for you to benefit from the scheme. The other definitions also do not fit. However, I've seen other websites quote their anti-pyramid scheme rules as reasons for our links not to be advertised on their websites and unfortunately incentive sites are (wrongly imo) often considered to be caught in these same rules. |
