NDC.co.uk - Any feedback?

Hi

I am looking to buy a dell laptop and I have come accross this site, NDC.co.uk. They sell refurbs, which I am fine about but has anyone used them before? They are well established but I couldn't find many reviews.
I don't need a very high spec and they have exactly what I'm looking for but about £130 cheaper than dell. I've tried Dell factory outlet but they do not have the spec I want.

Does any one know about any other sites that are good for cheap Dell's .

Thanks

D

I've never heard of them, sorry. But I have known people where I work to opt for EuroPC. They seem to have no problems with their refurbished laptops.

they're one of the few suppliers that sell alot of dell laptops on ebay. You can see thheir feedbcak here:
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayIS...me=STRK:ME:UFS

7800+ feedback and a powerseller so should be OK i guess.

Re: NDC.co.uk - Any feedback?

well they seem pretty legit to me
8k+ feedback and 98% positive
and it takes quite a while to become a power seller

Are you buying a laptop for work, ie, is it going to be moved around alot? if your going to not move your laptop, I would strongly suggest buying a desktop, since you can get much better specs for much cheaper prices

Cheers guys, I bought a laptop from them back in May direct from their site. Short guarantee but so far no problems.

NDC.co.uk

sorry but i have had experience with them and to be honest i wouldn't touch them with a barge poll. my husband bought a Dell laptop from them quite a high spec one and less than a week later it cut out for no reason, we returned it to them after eventually getting an email from them, they returned it and not even a day went by and the same thing again. Once again we returned it, and they eventually sent it back and a few weeks later the same thing again. Despite asking them not to send back the same laptop the second time we returned it and asked for a complete replacement they sent the same one back, we know this because we took down the serial number.

We are now having trouble getting them to do anything else, they ignore emails, i've phoned them twice and they say they will sort it but nothing has happened.

Stay clear unless you want hassle!

Caz

NDC.co.uk Fail at support

I am now struggling to deal with NDC.co.uk
I have sent them a few emails with no reply. And they dont seem to want to offer Dell support either which is far superior to their rubbish support. i dont live in the UK either so they are gonna probably make me pay shipping which will be like $100 to send it to them to get fixed and then send it back if they ever respond. I would rather buy from Dell outlet or from ebay with someone who gives u Dell warrenty. NDC.co.uk is not worth the saving u will end up paying more in the end. With Dell u can extend the warrenty for 3 years.

Hi,
my name is Tony.
I work at NDC and just joined the exceem community, so thought I'd drop by this thread and respond to some of the unhappy comments.
I'm really sorry to hear some of you had problems, and if you PM me some details I'll run your names past our customer service guys to see what happened - these circumstances are very rare indeed.

If anybody has any problems or queries, please do feel free to to contact me - we strive to ensure the highest levels of service, and while no company can get every order 100% right, we do try to ensure the customer is happy in the end, which is what really matters.

All the best,
Tony.

Hi all

My advice... steer clear of this company!

The savings you make on the laptops are tempting but the lack of after sales support and understanding for their customers is of the worst I have experienced from any company.

Having had (some of) the faults with my laptop repaired, they decided to replace my charger for a shorter one which no longer reaches to the wall socket and want me to return it at my own cost for a longer one which is the same length as the one I originally purchased. So much for their warranty statement: "In cases where we are not able to repair an item we may offer you an equivalent or better replacement"

Worse customer service ive ever received absolute cowboys

hi there i bought a laptop from their very nice website with no mention of 'second hand' or 'obsolete'. it broke with a graphics fault in warranty then again just outside of the warranty. they offered a repair again but with no guarantee of the durability of repair i refused and threatened small claims. Their reply blew me away, 40 pages of nonsense including their explaination of why laptops from them should only last for 1 year and ending in a threat of counter legal action for using their name on a forum similar to this!
