Theres thanks and rep up for grabs for anyone who answers some of my questions below: 1. What does "domain" mean? does it mean a website? 2. Whats hosting?? 3. How can i design my site? 4. Do 123-reg take paypal? 5. Is there a better site for domains than 123-reg? 6. Are there any offers to do on networks that offer a domain? 7. Do sites from 123-reg look professional? 8. Are there any exceemers who will design my site for cash? Some very n00bish questions i know, but i am totally new to this. All help will be appreciated Sajid. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: sites???This is my understanding, though i'm sure more technically minded people can give you a more accurate answer. Domain is the URL basically - like exceem.com is the domain. Quote:

You can also use certain sites who provide templates for your site, though it will end up looking generic. Quote:

Advice I would give would be to have your domain and hosting accounts with seperate companies. I know 123-reg also offer hosting, but I had an account with them and it wasn't too good. I only use them for domains now. If you want to make your site look profession, don't use gimmicks like counters and flashy javascripts or things like that. Keeping the site looking clean and tidy gives a better impression. For colour schemes, try using adobe.kuler.com. I don't use any site builders, I just code by hand by writing the html and css manually. I get more control that way. I might do a site for you, PM me if your interested.

![]() | Re: sites???yes, i am interested but no offense but your site looks too basic, i'd need something that would make the visitors turn into referrals with ease. A really good design would be needed. |
