![]() | Sign the PetitionHi all, Just wondering of any of you would be willing to sign the petition at: www.ishop4one.co.uk iShop4One.co.uk is an online petition that we would like you to sign, to encourage the big supermarkets that penalize single people shopping for themselves, or the elderly with smaller appetites, with BOGOF (buy one get one free) offers, as well as buy 3 get one free. If you are interested, please go to the site and sign up, and spread the word to your friends and lets get the petition rolling! Thank You DavidS

BOGOF's are good! If you really think it is unfair find a mate and get them to go halfs on th BOGOF's and get one each, rather than setting up a petition. There are ways of getting around it if you use your imagination.

![]() | Re: Sign the Petitionwow so much negativity, thought some ppl might actually be interested! - sites my mums just trying to promote it for her - 'sponsors' taken off - link bk here... didn't know i had to as no mention in the lead sticky... as for bogof's for some they maybe good, but most of the time all the food just ends up with the rest of the rubbish in the trash heap as for only 5 sig's, only just been launched and not advertised yet

![]() ![]() | Re: Sign the Petition"We would like the privilege of buying one product at the reduced price. We do not want to contribute to the 'throw away' mentality by buying more produce than we can reasonably eat, yet feel aggrieved by having to pay full price for individual purchases. " So you want big supermarkets to stop promoting products through BOGOFs but you dont want to have to pay the same price for one item when you can get 2 of that item for that same price. Even if you're petition has some effect. They aren't going to lower any prices. Just means big families and hungry people will lose out.

![]() | Re: Sign the PetitionI love bogof's on useful things that wont be wasted or go off b4 i can eat them. No I don't have a freezer, b4 you say thats 'my' choice, its not as i rent and my flat ain't got the space for one. Dont earn enough in the job im in to buy my own place yet (hence why on a freebie site..-cos im a cheapskate-) Supermakets pride themselves in offering what people want for the price they want it. Surely if they can sell two packs for 2quid they can sell one pack at one quid. Not blooming rocket science.

| 2009 Year of the Fox | Re: Sign the PetitionElloooooooooo, earth calling. I've been single and I've also been "attached" and believe me BOGOFs are fantastic. Most food these days can be frozen. Infact, a lot of the BOGOFs are frozen foods anyway. If you can afford to shop in big supermarkets then count yourself lucky, for many people BOGOFs are an essential part of a weekly shop, and I know what I'm talking about. It's called choice. If you dont want to "waste" money buying BOGOFs, then dont. Supermarkets have plenty of choice. As for "fresh meat" and veg, buy them from a butcher or grocer, I think that's a far greater need. Whatever next? "Please Tab, could you NOT send me the FREE games with my PS3 as I'll never play them and they will lie around my bedroom floor" |
