Re: Ebay

I just think it underminds the whole freebie concept. People already think this is a con without someone publishing a blatent lie.
I don't think most networks have a problem if you want to risk your ebay account by advertising your link, but there is a limit.

Brilliant. So he's losing his account, and hopefully the £10 listing fee as well.

Re: Ebay

yeah he's done a featured listing, no one should report it, as woostar is takin the action so the listing will be useless.

Re: Ebay

Been discussing this with Ethan (he's the boogeyman that puts naughty people on hold).

While I maintain that we don't want the Freeclickz name associated with this kinda offer (purely because there is no way for us to vet the process), is it possible that it could work (or be legit)?

If you go for a big enough reward (e.g £500) and deduct £25 for vouchers + £200 for the Xbox (£25 postage) you still make £250.

Any thoughts?

Re: Ebay

ok, so may have jumped the gun a bit (we are in contact with him and coming to a compromise).
I think in this day n age it's hard to preempt the good from the bad... and as there is no real way to determine that this isn't a Freeclickz prize draw, if things back fire we could end up with a full email account.

Re: Ebay

Yeah, that thought did cross my mind. But what happens if he doesn't get the 26 greens? Will he still do a draw for say 15 that have gone green?

Re: Ebay

well it's obviously a fake draw as many on ebay are. I think it's a good innovative idea but, like woostar, if it was my site i'm not sure that i would want to be associated with it. (although it may bring in good business)

I would really like to know this guys conversion rate

Re: Ebay

Have been thinking about this alot... This does sounds like a good gimmick to entice referrals.

I have been back in contact with him and allowed him to continue on condition:-
"The random draws takes place at Interclickz HQ: All prizes will be sent out on your behalf from our shipping department. The remaining money will be transfered to you as per normal guidelines."
(I'm expecting no reply to be honest)

I'm not saying this will happen (i'm playing around with some code now) but how about affiliate member pages for Interclickz members allowing you to set up a custom landing page and even have prize draws (if you wish) regulated and monitored by us?

Re: Ebay

I think he should put that the draw is not connected with freeclickz or to do with freeclickz as if you go against freeclickz for some reason, he could be geniue about the draw or just do a hit and run and never see him agai, its the risk you take really.

Re: Ebay

LOL ~ who sent in an ebay question: Looks like your FreeClickz account is being banned then. LOL

OK this has been sorted now. Not one to stand in the way of a good idea *if you're doing it right* (i will be checking!) a simple 'This is a prize draw is not endorsed by Interclickz.com' some where on the ad will be suffice (for anyone else that was thinking about giving it ago).

Still looking into knocking up some personalised member landing pages with idea of helping with trades etc (would be nice to hear some feed back on this idea).
