OFFICIAL: Incentive Network should now be back online

Finally, I have managed to get the sites back online.

The following is pasted from The Incentive Network blog and is regarding the downtime:

Incentive Network Downtime
The Incentive Network has recently recovered from a 2 day downtime period. We apologise for any inconvenince caused, but we did make our best efforts to get the site back up!

At one point the sites were back up prematurely (in the early hours of Tuesday 5th August (roughly 2am GMT onwards). When the sites went live at that time, it was not intended by us, and the server was later back down. Any accounts created at around those times have unfortunately been lost. For this reason we have reserved user ID’s after the last signup, so if you need to recover an account, you can register as normal (please try logging in first to be sure your account was indeed lost), and then file a support ticket so that we modify your ID to what it was previously (if you know the ID). You can get this by looking at the end of the referral link you may have used to refer people. If you do not know it, then there is really no need to get your old ID back. If you are recovering an account, we’d also like to know the exact ID that brought you to the site (i.e. if you received an email letting you know about us, show us that, or if you got here via another website, please try checking your history to find your referrers ID).

Furthermore, during the downtime, we lost the remaining unanswered support tickets. If you were waiting on a reply to an issue, please file another ticket, and we will answer it ASAP. Again, we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience this may present.

Hopefully that explains everything. In regard to competition entries, they were always stored locally on my PC, and those were not affected, so everyone who was is still in with a chance to win one of the iPhones.

I hope all that were, will continue to use the sites, despite this blip in service.

It's when all 200 slots are full, or September 15th, whichever is earlier.

P.S. I forgot to say. I will be monitoring the traffic situation carefully and may bring the sites down again briefly to ensure the checks are working as they should. I tested them by blocking UK IP's and successfully blocked myself, so it should be working with the other country codes in place.

Are you seeing a page from UK2.NET on about billing and technical support? If so, your DNS hasn't been updated yet.

Yea still seeing the UK2.NET page, all the others sites are working ok!

EDIT: Will try refreshing my cache, it's the only one I have bookmarked!

I've just been notified by a representative for the MyLotto24 affiliate program that this offer will not be available from the end of August. In addition to that, they've changed the commission structure for the remainder of August, and in light of this, the offer has been removed from The Incentive Network. I'm sure other networks will be following suit (and I'm aware FJ already has) and if you've read that thread you'll know that this is beyond the control of the networks.

Now that the things have calmed down in terms of the recent down time, I can get back to adding new offers. I have already began doing so (though these are not live yet). Hopefully you'll find these offers more than make up for the loss of MyLotto24

Definitely won't, the commission structure has changed for August, before the program is discontinued for good. You did that offer months ago lol, won't affect you!!

I'm reluctant to add non-credit card offers at this point (as most really are mobile offers) and people are always out to benefit in a less than ideal manner (i.e. carry out multiple offers fraudulently). I've thought about different ways I will ensure people can't do this.

There's also another separate thing which I may introduce that would mean more non-CC offers, but that all depends on the success of the initial 4 sites, and making sure I'm not stretching myself as it is

EDIT: Just thought I'd add, to confirm. Doing an offer will only get you a free referral in the scenario where you have a free green. It happens in such a way that I basically remove your free green, and give you a free referral for it, and then your offer credits as normal. Please do not think you could complete 12 offers, and cash in for a PS3 lol. I'm sure you didn't actually think this, but just in case new people are reading the thread and are under this impression, I am taking this opportunity to clarify that point.
