The package I chose would have been more than suitable had the traffic been normal traffic. I've actually been told by another network source that no other network has had this problem, so it couldn't have been expected.

Dunno lol, I certainly don't/won't. Also I don't think there is a specific person targetting India lol, it started out with one Indian user. Then it was 20 or so, but I left it, not thinking I'd wake up to 13,000 the next morning (now 28,000 or something on the Mac site alone).

EDIT: There's good news on the horizon anyway, but I'll announce this when I'm sure everything is foolproof.

its not about bandwidth, its all about the server load/page requests.

Exactly correct, although the first server did exceed it's bandwidth, UK2.NET banned the domain purely because of using too many resources. I went back to my old host which was ideal apart from the bandwidth being exceeded. The owner generously extended it free of charge, and couldn't believe that the remaining 20GB of bandwidth I had for the month was used in around 4 hours.

Quick note on the competition, it's now 112 remaining entries, not had a chance to update my signature lately, and when I do I keep forgetting to hit save after I preview it lol.

That was only the first day of this balls-up lol, when I took away the block thinking things were calm, I added a further 17,000 to that, as it now stands at around 30,000 At least the sites look popular to newbies lol...

For those of you who are eargerly waiting and checking, you may now see that the sites are back up, but asking for passwords. This is what you should see. I have to go out for an hour or so now, and when I get back there's just a couple more things I'm going to do before lifting the passwords. Then everything will be good to go.
