the only think that worrys me about google adds and yahoo`s adds is

ive been down that rd before and there both done the following to me when i was advertising my other site

i opened a acount for £60 and the £60 was gone in 18 hours it wouldnt let me edit my stats so that i limited my hits per day

and in there small print it stated that once your balance is 0 they deposit another £60 from your card

it put me off

as there customer service was ****e i didnt get a reply for 7 days by that time they had taken hundreds out of my acount

or should i say my overdraft

and when i finally got in contact with them

they said that they couldnt refund me as i had already recieved the hits that i had payed for

i have since read on other places that this happens a lot ? strange that

woa that sucks, took a brief look at it, and i got the understanding that it was a pree pay thing, i.e I send them £50 then once thats gone i get no more hits, if they have the ability to continue to charge my card im staying clear!

yeh jon £60 is the min you can open a acount for

but when your acount gets down to its last £5 they take out the min £60 again

thats the way they work

you can edit your setting so that you only recieve x amount of hits so it cost ya £3 a day

but this is conveniently a option that has a lot of problems and can verry rarely be used

how convenient for them

I only recently set up my mums website with Google Adwords and it didn't cost £60!

Activation Fee = £5
Then you set a maximum amount you want to pay per click, say 10p. Then you set a daily budget so it doesn't spend more than say £1 a day (eg) It really wasn't at all hard to set up

Maybe you were talking about Yahoo?

I'm really not sure, but you give a $ sign there, maybe the UK site is different? (that's what I used)

There is just says £5 + Cost Per Click (The max cost per click makes your ad go up and down the list on the right, the more you pay, the higher you get )
