Got a bank transfer today from hdtv.fj, it was for the 12 ref tv but I got it for 11 refs in the summer sale

Big thanks to the guys at fj for this, got uni soon so this is gonna help fund freshers week

we've always offered bank transfers at 85% of the gift value

So let me get this straight. The PS3 which is £300 well it can be bought for £280, cheaper even at some places. You do £300 divided by 100 x 85% = £255 cash. So how many referrals is that?

Also why don't you just offer the cost of the PS3 at £300 directly in cash?

It would be same number of referral whether you want the PS3 or cash alternative.

I believe it's something to do with tax stuff... The amount they pay for the gift already includes tax, whereas; they have to pay tax seperately if you request cash, which is why they deduct 15%.
