Think so, they have a different chip in them...i have a Desk fan in front of my xbox at the moment to stop it overheating

yea ours is in a cupboard with the door shut which is probobly not the best idea cause it vibrates off the cupboard and makes even more of a racket , its ok when gaming but gets annoying when watching dvds , would be interested in getting an elite if it is actually a lot quieter

Same here, my one is in an entertainment unit thing with class doors that slide closed, so i have to keep them open but then the noise it so loud, when I'm playing at night all i can hear is buzzing !!

I did buy a PC neon green fan to stick in the back of my unit and then close the door, so it can pull hot air out of the compartment, need to install it though still
