Xbox live method

Hi guys i have been on the forum for quite some time now and you have all be great so i thought i would my share one of my idea's that i have been using recently since the lauch of my sites 2 months ago.Sorry if this has already been posted.
If like me you have Xbox live and play games online a fair bit then you have a great opportunity to advertise your site this idea came to my when playing MW2 a while back and i kept recieving loads messages saying 10th prestige lobby for x amount of microsoft points.When you are playing games online you have access to around 30-40 of your most recent players this is a great chance to send one message to all of them explaining alittle bit about your site and the name of your site now like most advertising it is very hit and miss and prepare yourselfs for a few lovely replys.Now i play alot of Call of duty so for me i am not going out of my way every hour or so i will drop a message to my most recent players the other great thing about this method is if someone is very intrested in how it works you can chat to them online.Thats it hope i have explained it clear enough and gd luck if you use it.

Great share just be careful with this method. This has been discussed before and I'm pretty sure some members have been banned from xbox live/PSN for doing this. It could also be seen as spamming which is against FJ/Kudos rules.

It's probably used better if you add a 'friend' online, play with them for a fair bit then ask if they would sign up, better rather than just sending a random message

i think this is a good idea but people playing modern warfare are not gonna want to receive messages like that when playing because i sure know when i am playing this game when a notification pops up i get annoyed no matter who or what it is

i have my website as my comment. so if anyone wants to check it out its up to them. have had a fair few people messaging me and asking what its about so its a good ice breaker

I've heard of this before and have also heard of someone getting banned for doing it. The person who was banned was doing it much more often than you were though, a few times every hour. I'm sure if you keep it to a random basis you should be alright and even if you pull one or 2 greens a week while playing it's worth it.
