![]() | Emails for ReferalsHi peoples of the exceem website... network.. thing? Im sort of wanting to throw this idea out there for geting referals and maybe someone has a bit of experience with this. I was reading about how people could expand a buisnes or website with sites that sent millions of emails to people daily. What if someone used this for points 2 shop or freebiejeebies or however you spell it. Im just gonna cover points2shop becuse i have more experience with that site. When someone registers under you you get .50 cents. When someone completes a offer you get .50 cents. You get 1 percent of a million with is 10,000 people sign under you witch im going to be honest might be unlikly. Half of that 10000 registers fully witch is 5000. That alone is 2500 DOLLARS!!! |

![]() | Hey there, and welcome to eXceem! Although by looking at the numbers, this may seem like a brilliant idea, it most likely won't work. I dare say that it would be impossible to get a mailing list of millions of valid, active emails. Companies spend millions building up huge reliable mailing lists, and you'd be extremely lucky to get a few thousand, of which most would be disused emails, and most of your emails would end up in the spam box anyway. It is also against the terms and conditions of the freebie networks to send spam to get signups, and I would guess that sending millions of emails to strangers would violate that particular rule! That being said, there are many brilliant ways to earn referrals, if you do a little research. However, spam is never the way! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Welcome to eXceem Conley, this is not a very good idea IMHO. If the freebie site you were using/promoting find out what you're doing you'd be in bother with them. It would be classed as spamming which is against their T&C's.

Say if they signed up for a dailyemail via autoresponder where you have to confirm your subscription to it. They are signing up and confirming so that wouldn't be classed as spam?would it? | |

| Mini Mac | I don't think this would be classified as spam, but an email a day is still a bit too much imo. |

| Mr Baldy Chicken | opt in emails are ok....... I use them....... but be very careful how you use them, and make sure there are very clear unsubscribe options..... I have lists of millions acquired over the years, but they really are not much use on the freebie side of things.... |

| iPod 60gb | A better (in my opinion) take on this idea would be to build up a mailing list gradually by promoting a sign up form yourself. If you have a blog about: -freebies -gadgets -video games -technology -anything given away on freebie sites You can add a form at the bottom of each post, or put a form on the side of your blog, allowing users to: -sign up to your mailing list where you notify of each new blog post -sign up to a newsletter where you give additional information each week -sign up in order to be registered to a competition -sign up in return for downloading a free ebook on x,y,z. Then, each week, or even twice weekly (I personally wouldn't email more frequently than that), you can send an email containing updates/information that is relevant to your subscribers. At the bottom of every email you can add (maybe as a p.s.) a short spiel about freebie sites, and include either a direct ref link, or a link to a page of your website. You can create this page specially, for example: "Hello there, email subscriber! So you've clicked on the link at the bottom of the email I sent you, where I promised to tell you about how to get a free xbox/ps3/etc. Well, here is how: 1. Sign up here... yadda yadda" Just make sure you are sending regular updates that offer REAL value to your subscribers. Trawl bargain sites like HUKD.com to find a handpicked "bargain of the week", and search blogs or news sites to find the latest news that they may not have heard yet. Introduce your email in a friendly manner. If you build trust with your subscribers then they are far more likely to a) believe you, and b) sign up and go green! Offer up a micro-competition in each weeks email, and release the winner in the next one. This will get people involved, and eager to open and read each email. You only need to offer really small things as a prize - be creative: an avatar of a person made from a photo, something cool they can stick on their facebook, a shout out, a song, a rap... You can find some cool prizes on Fiverr, so that's only costing you about £3.
