   |  Advertising in popular local newspaper? (Opinion)Hey guys, I need your opinion on this so let me explain. There's a local newspaper in my town, that is from what I know free, and goes to every household in the town. I recently contacted them via email asking on the process of advertising my site. Today morning I received a call from a gentleman working there, the person I spoke to via email. He said that he's interested in the way all of this works, and that he likes my website. He offered me a special offer, a Half-Page ad of my choice, an Introduction on the front page of the magazine, and a 2 page interview with photographs. All of that would cost €250, provided that the magazine is shown to over 10,000 people. He said that if I wanted, I would be able to pay €125 before, and €125 some time after. This is basically how it would look: -Cover Mention  -Half Page Ad  -Two Page Interview   I've told him that due to a lack of funds, I'lll hold off for now and return to him in the time of Christmas because that's when people start searching for cheap deals etc. ______ So, any opinions if I should go through with it? | 250 seems a bit steep, but it's definitely a very good offer. Probably not gonna get it anywhere else. Is the price negotiable? I imagine you'll get a lot of greens if you go along with this. | Well, he said a mention on the front cover alone costs about €400 with other advertising included. But that's an offer here. EDIT: I probably will if I go ahead with this, sure

| I'm out of funds, and parents won't pay for it because I'm already buying a MIDI Keyboard for €330 next week. :/

| £250 not steep if its in papers etc. i use to advertise a couple times in my local. and front page there was £500 . if you think thats pricey. ring up thesun newspaper and ask them the same thing.. its really trial and error and also a bloody good ad copy |

 | Hmm.. That sounds like a nice offer, Adrian. Ads in the local newspaper here cost almost 3x your price. If there's no funding problem, surely go for it. And yeah, the interview part would really do the charm for you. Think about the amount of greens you'll be getting... *glint in the eyes*

| I just called the guy again and told him that I'd want to be in the Christmas Issue. I have time till the 10th December to get back to him. Now where do I get the €250?

| Just use money to buy the ad instead of the keyboard, then use your extra greens to get the keyboard lol |
