| iPod Nano 4GB | Why Promoting Small Freebies Can Earn You Bigger Freebies - fasterHow’s it going? Today I want to share with you a simple tip that will help you increase your referral conversion ratios for faster freebies. You see, whether or not you’re young in freebie industry, when it comes to freebie incentives, we tend to desire the much larger gadgets. In example: When signing up to apple.freebiejeebies for the first time, most of us get tempted to aim for a free macbook pro over the itty bitty free ipod shuffle – and that’s perfectly fine! However, how many of us ever looked at the free Macbook pro, realized it costs 43 (greens) referrals, and said to ourselves; “THIS IS GONNA BE EASY AS F**K”? Probably none of us! In fact, we probably got a bit discouraged and took longer to take action. Fact of the matter is, you’ll have to assume that your referred prospects are thinking the same. This is what this post is all about – how promoting a smaller gift can encourage more sign ups so that you can earn your bigger reward. “You’re referrals will not complete an offer if they’re not 100% confident they will earn their free gadget…” I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; when it comes to buying or signing up to anything, people make emotional decisions. If people associate more pain with going through the entire process of earning a free gadget than they associate pleasure with actually earning a free gift, they will not complete an offer – no matter how much logic, testimonials, and facts you throw in their faces. With that being said, if you’re creating a website or campaign promoting a how to get a free macbook pro, then you’ll definitely get loads of attention and even lots of sign ups, however be prepared to watch your accounts pile up with thousands of refs you’ll get no credit for. Seriously, the idea of having to get 40+ referrals is FAR MORE SCARY than actually saving up cash to buy a macbook pro; especially when most of your prospects are worried about how they can possibly get their first 10! “Promoting smaller rewards, such as a free Acer laptop or a free xbox 360, will encourage a much higher conversion rate…” The idea that people are less interested in getting a free ipod nano or a free acer laptop than a free ipad2 or a Free 50″ HDtv is completely false. Even the smaller rewards provide needs that people so heavily crave. Seriously! Did you know how much a free ipod nano would mean to me? I just damaged my last mp3 player the other day! A good friend of mine got tired of her old and outdated flip phone. She had her eyes set on a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini (10 refs) – so she registered an account under my ref link and completed an offer. All she wanted to do is replace her old phone, she certainly wasn’t going to wait to get 20 – 30 referrals for a free iphone 4. The point is, by promoting smaller gadgets (freebies requiring minimal referrals), you instantly minimize the fear and worry that your prospects may have – especially when it comes to referrals. Therefore, they are more likely to Go Green (complete an offer)! Think about the dialogue spoken Referrals minds - A) “All I have to do is spend 0$ – 5$ on an offer and find 10 people to do the same so I can get a free Nintendo 3Ds? Sounds fair enough…“ B) “Hmmm… I think that Free 60″ LED HDtv on kudos network is awesome!!! I want a new HDTV today, but to invest $0 -$7 on an offer and find 130+ people to do the same is gonna take me YEARS!!!! This freebie stuff isn’t for me…“ Do you get it? The less referrals required for the freebie you actively promote, will increase your chances of getting conversions. How do I know? Here’s a breif story! I created a post a while ago entitled “how to get a free ipod shuffle your first week“. I began promoting the article on twitter and other mediums and here were my results by the end of the week: 7 Greens in 7 days! That’s 1 out of 10 greens! Now imagine how that would be if that post received 1000 hits per day and 30% of those 1000 decided to sign up? How many do you think will complete an offer? OMG THAT IS ALOT OF GADGETS FOR ME, huh? Of course!!!! “Even the small freebies have a market. There are people out there who want them just as bad. So don’t neglect them” Fact of the matter is, there’s literally a market for every gadget displayed on these freebie networks! You don’t need to promote the same gift you wish to earn for yourself! Fact is, when people join a freebie incentive, they have a need to fulfill and in most cases, it’s never the same as yours! Some people just want to get a small gift for a family member, others want to replace something damaged without having to break bank, some people just want to get free games for their consoles without relying on their parents all the time. You also have students who may be in need of a laptop, but don’t have money to invest – and they can careless if it’s a macbook pro or an acer! Let alone, because the gifts require much less referrals, then you will experience much less rebuttals. Oh and here’s one very powerful tip I’ve learned - In the world of shopping, women have a bigger buying power then men. When it comes to freebie incentives, women are more likely to complete an offer with freebie than men. Women, in most cases, desire the smaller gifts including cash rewards than they care for the big giant toys! So, with that being said, it’s not a bad idea to promote smaller gadgets. Okay, there it is. My thoughts and experiences all on the table with this one. As a disclaimer, this thread/tip isn't made to be an absolute truth. It just made sense to me and It's based on my personal experiences. However, it's been a while since I last practiced it. If you have any thoughts, feel free to address it. Drop a comment, I’d be happy to read some feedback and hear your experiences.

| free-gadgets.co.nr | I think we should get the ability to +rep the same person many times! Half of my +reps would have been to you! Wishing to go for a XBOX but might change in for a Nano, 8GB Touch or even a Shuffle.....

| iPod Nano 4GB | I think xbox is good enough... but yeah, it's always good to switch up once in a while and experiment and see what really works best for you in the end.

Nice post, really helpful, I notice that conversions tend to be better for me on my xbox live codes site, than the free ps3 games, although I suppose its unfair to compare because Ive only had 10 reds on xbox site. against 250 on free ps3 games. | |
