About the Fiverr method..

So with a little bit of research I found out that some freebie 'hunters' gets part of their greens from Fiverr and similar sites.
Im just curious that it is really worth to pay $5-$10 maybe $15 for someone to promote your website to their x number of followers or friends? Any personal experience?
Also if its worth promoting this way, which is more 'profitable': promoting your own website or just your referral link?

I know about Fiverr and copy cat sites, but I don't see how you could make it work with freebies?? You are offering something in exchange for 5 dollars, not signing up :S

What I mean is I saw a lot of ppl saying on fiverr and other similar sites that they will put your

I wouldn't do it! Then again, you get what you pay for...
Either way, i wouldn't expect much results... their lists may not even be targeted. Their twitters may have a list of 40,000 followers who are all a bunch of bots and advertisers..
Even with facebook, ur not likely to get much conversions.

If you care about traffic, then maybe you have a shot, but conversion ratios will SUCK if the guy you pay doesn't promote your link to a targeted following - and I doubt they have any credibility amongst their entire network to get respectable feedback or responses.

Like i said, you get what you pay for...

Most of these followers they have are "follow for follow" twitterer's (bots and human) who just want to see their number of followers go high. Not targeted. You'll notice that they follow many more people (most of the time...) as a result of this "follow for follow" business.

Read all the reviews, people don't get many clicks/views as these people are constantly tweeting ads from gigs on Fiverr, so most of them are just overlooked as spam by the followers.

For example, [boast] I have 4.5k followers (closing in on Furbsy!), but only follow 30-40 people (Mostly famous people). My followers are very well targeted (not freebie related) and are not "follow for follow" followers AND are mostly human (80%+)... With the right type of website being tweeted once or twice, it'd get more visits than you'd expect from a usual Fiverr gig promoting to more than double/triple the number of followers.

I've dedicated quite a bit of time to Twitter to be honest... Need to think about expanding it and somehow monetise it without losing followers.

Let me know how that goes... and do share some updates if you can! I'm curious to see, in all honesty. Twitter is still a bit sensitive (based on my efforts) and social media, generally is a process on it's own - though some get lucky. I guess I really haven't figured it out completely because traffic just STOPS within the hour I get off. And I don't want to have to keep adding and following everyone on the planet ya know, lol...

I started out with the intention to get some followers and spam em to death with my ref link/website... But as things went along, I started using Twitter as it was "meant" to be used (well you know what I mean... Bit of online socialising etc.), Got a bit of luck on the way (been replied to and retweeted by famous people more than once - this helps a lot, around a 100 new followers each time etc.) and I've not actually thought of telling the followers about FJ/KN since. I've bought the relevant domain, now just waiting for my exams to finish to make something of it.

I'll keep you updated if anything exciting happens!

One of my tweets has actually become a Top Tweet in the WORLDWIDE Top Trends...!! Number of followers is growing every second!
