1.

Springs coming, soon you will have people coming out looking for bargins at the bootsales! It would be a good idea to set up a stall with leaflets and some proof pictures, ect.

Or alternativley, you can sell things with a business card/flyer.

2.

I searched 'freebies' on Amazon Books and nothing came up except free kindle books, if someone is able to make a book for freebies I guess you would come on 2nd or 3rd page on someone searching 'kindle freebies.'

Go one step further with the 1st idea: take an empty XBOX or similar box and put it on your stall. Then have some flyers next to it. It'll draw in the crowds and then you can explain it to them.

I personally cba with car boot sales, but there is one just up the road, just too cold (and you have to pay for a space!)!

I got a good method too, Find a Legend at your school, and I mean a LEGEND, then get everyone to wear badges with a picture of their face on it, with the referral link underneath, then it shows that you are year 10, so can go out at lunch. What do you think?

I've been asked to help a friend at a car boot (what timing!) so gonna see if they'll let me sell a few of my things too and I'll pop my wii box up with some flyers if she'll let me!!

Gotta work on a decent flyer now!

Not a bad idea! I specifically like the book idea. Very entrepreneurial if it was done correctly. That would draw in the most referrals anyone would have seen if was executed properly lol!

Anyway, the two methods described in the OP are pretty good, but unfortunately most people already know about them. Still good for the newbies though

A lot of forums give out warnings or bans for people trying to act like moderators, you seem to be getting pretty good at acting like a moderator. His post was relevant so why not?

I'm sure Ojaser6's intentions are good but I was thinking the same.

As long as the post is relevant I don't see a problem. We encourage new members to have a good read around the forum and can hardly criticise them if they then make some useful posts, as long as that is not just to increase the post count.

It can be seen as what's called back seat modding.

Having worked on the infamous iPBFree (Not very famous if you are saying WTF IS THAT!) it can be very annoying when members march in and do the job you were chosen to do (not saying that you are)

My general way of viewing a forum is this:
Mods are fair people they won't ban you straight away, in most cases, they will tell you that you're doing something wrong. If a mod doesn't post I see it as nothing has been done wrong.

If a mod does post then something wrong has been done so they have to post anyway.

If you think someone is doing something wrong, report the post. The reason you report a post is so the mods can use their discretion to deal with the report. You might be more or less tolerant than the forum would like to give the impression of.
