Bigger or Faster?

This is aimed at those of you who have gotten your gifts already and used these to convince people. Which do you seem to get a better reaction from:

an item that is fast to get (i.e. ipod shuffle) but not worth a lot
or
an item that is slow to get (Laptop/TV/ps3/etc) but is worth a lot of $$$

Most people seem to be going for the Shuffle as a "look what you can get fast" but I (and I suspect others) see that and go "meh, don't want" and lose interest.

im afraid iphone4matt we arent all as good at getting referrals as you... maybe just me

i asked permission for pictures of all of the gifts that you can get instead of just one

Personally, I think that, providing you can put it to good use, the Shuffle is a good choice, at the end of the day, it can refund itself fairly quickly with the right exposure and is actually quite a nice bit of kit.

I've just ordered a shuffle, going through processing as we speak. If nothing else, you can always sell it on for somewhere between £25-£35, and I think people are more impressed by a physical item than a small cheque or bank statement.

yeah definitely go for physical item, i got xbox slim first worked for referrals for me, for friends and such but now need to seo site as running out of friends to sign up lol

Let me clarify...
I KNOW a physical item is best. I just wondered if people were impressed adequately by a shuffle that says "sign up and you can near-instantly get a shuffle!" (with NO work in fact if you Conga here) or by a larger item like Macbook/iPad/iPhone that says "you can get nice and expensive stuff but it will take a long time"

the way I understand it, Nearly every site on here has a shuffle for 2 referrals. I could get my green and they can still get like 5 shuffles if they want from congas.

What?? If they join a conga, they sign up under somebody else and not you, also there isn't the shuffle on every site.

I focus on 1 site per service so I really cont care if they conga the others. Right now it's apple.FJ (and will be gadgets.kudos when I get around to signing up for it ala conga)

Didnt know, all the sites so far that I looked at did have a shuffle... *shrug*
