Company that drives targetted traffic to your website

There are sites that exist (I won't mention any) that will drive targeted traffic to your website for a fixed payment depending on how many customers you wish to get. Now, I have used this in the past for a website I had running that I used to dropship DVD's to ebay customers and I can tell you that it works. I have been thinking of ways to get more greens for my own gift I'm trying to get before christmas and have posted a previous topic with 11 ways to do this, but forgot and didn't think of doing this. You DO have to pay a small amount though for the traffic. I am going to do this with my website and see how it goes, and I thought it may be of help for you guys that have a wesbite advertising freebie's. From first hand experience it DOES work.

Good luck!

But the thing is, a lot of them are just trying to cheat cash off of you. So even if there's one that actually works among them, I wouldn't really trust them.

Money can be better spent elsewhere

a lot of these services use bots to generate the hits so its not true traffic!

you can also pay people to post twitter msgs to 1000s of followers or post a status msg on fb when they have 5k friends or a group with a large amount of members.

It's only going to waste your money if your site doesn't do enough to convert. SEO or any form of Traffic Generation is only good for one thing, Traffic. However, converting traffic into greens should be a bigger focus.

I'd rather be on the 30th page on a google search converting 85% of my visitors into referrals than be on the first page converting only 2%.

So in all honesty, before you spend money on traffic generation, you better look at your conversion rate first. If it's low, then work on your website's content, first before you worry about paying for traffic.

Good luck...

I can't see many of them working, and you'll probably end up out of pocket

A lot of these traffic-driving companies just send bots and makes you think that they are real visitors.

I can tell you from my own experience that the company I used worked for my dropship website. I used code from some website (I can't remember the name) to track where website traffic was coming from and they were indeed coming from other sites of the genre.

Sites where your traffic appears to be coming from can easily be faked by adjusting the HTTP_REFERER value that the users browser/bot script passes to your website to tell you where they've come from...FYI: I use the same trick to circumvent referrer detection (Used on a lot of 18+ websites ) and download images found via Google Images.
Because the referrer variable is never mandatory (It's always blank if a user enters your address manually or uses security software to null it) it's impossible to determine whether any http referrer value is legit or not.

In plain English: If you still have the stats and logs for your drop ship site backed-up somewhere, take a look at the volume of traffic versus number of purchases made. Compare the average hits per sale before you started using $TrafficBooster with those hits/sale averages from afterwards.
I reckon ye might find the hits/sales ration of the latter much lower than the former, and as much as 90% of thy "heavy" traffic could've been bot generated.
