I can't believe I can't even convince my friends!

As it says above. I'm new to this and have been staggered by the lack of response from my friends. I have e-mailed 60 people and tried to convince them in a lighthearted way that this is a great idea but got no reponse at all!!
I know they have just deleted it without a second look. Anyone got any ideas. I'm going to do the face to face approach instead.

i think if i ask them and sit there physically telling them what to do then it will work.

I've never been able to convince any of my friends either. Best thing to do is try different methods to get like 2 greens, get an iPod shuffle or something else cheap and it will be much easier to convince friends then

Thats exactly what I did and once I had my shuffle , people signed up pretty quickly. I now have a nano, ps3, 3 games and £129 paypal. And still going.

Been in freebies over 2 years and I have a lot of friends and I've never even been able to get one person to go green for me. All my friends know this works cause i talk about it all the time but they can't be bothered by free stuff. Maybe my friends suck or friends are the hardest sell out there I'm not sure.

I used weebly too in creating a website! Works really well and so easy to use!

Good choice - my advice to you is content, make it iresistable for people to not sign up, I studied a lot of websites out there and saw what worked and what didn't!

I already have an Ipod shuffle so I might just say that I got it free with freebiejeebies. See if they believe me and then try and convince them.

I like the idea of the website but not sure I quite have the time just at the moment to get into that. very tempted though. I appreciate it will take some effort to accumulate interest.

I was surpised by one 'friend' who snapped back he didn't like hassling people for things. I explained i thought I was doing us both a favour by letting him know about the site. You can't please some people!!!

yes i really thought it would be easy to convince people given the amount of ammo to support how this works. I know it isn't for everyone but I thought enough people would find it worth a go. I have found face to face with my friends works better and have 6 interested people - but i was aiming for maybe 20.
Some people are just dead against it. Others humour me. and the ones that have shown an interest - none have actually signed up yet.

Somehow I knew from the start it was going to be hard to convince
people and to actually see them commit to an offer.

I think it has a lot of to with the offers.
I understand that before there were free Love Film offers.
I think if I would have started that time with referrals
it would have been a little more smoother sailing.

Maybe Love Film will come back again as an offer.
I can only hope
