Just a Thought

Whilst sat at work today being Mr Assistant Manager I had a thought.

The thought came around after hearing a customer asking for 10 x £1 scratch cards as a present for someone.

Why not have a promotion on your website where basically each completed referral is sent a Scratch Card from yourself as a "Thank You". Might be a nice little incentive for somebody as who knows, you could be sending them a winning card!

Only an idea

It's a good idea! Just make sure it's for UK customers only

Why do you need to give them your address?
I think its a good idea, but you would be a bit miffed if you sent them a winning scratch card.

I'm presuming you would need to buy any online scratch cards through your own account therefore would have to look at them with your own account.
Or am I missing something with the online thing, can you send cards as gifts via email maybe ?
Never used them tbh, so I didn't even think of them hence the address comment.

Apologies...

Seems to be a good start more than a new method !

[By the way 2345876, next time don't title the thread 'just a thought', put 'a smart idea' instead ]

Ah I see, I just thought he meant actual scratchcards you buy from the post office etc.

See, this is exactly what I thought... We have crossed wires here I think.
I originally thought he meant physical scratchy with a £1 coin card scratch cards, from an off license, post office etc etc which is why I figured no-one would want to give him their home address to post it to.

When I mentioned online cards I had literally only just thought of them because your "Why give address? " comment made me think that the online approach is where I had gone wrong.

See where I was coming from ?

Yea I do now, I thought you meant the sender would have to give out his address which is what confused me. I imagine it would just be like ebay though wouldn't it, people give their addresses out on there all the time.

Maybe i'm just too cautious, dunno.
On ebay it's the seller that gives the address, this is kinda the other way around.

I personally wouldn't want to sign up to a sequence of websites, give one of them my card details and then give another related site my home address just to receive a £1 scratch card.

It's just too much personal information in this day of digital crime.

Like I say, I may just be paranoid of ID theft.

Yea I can see were your coming from, it would seem a bit dodgy to some people.
However on ebay doesn't the buyer give the address as the seller needs to send the item to the buyer?

I agree with you, i wouldn't give many details online unless i trusted the site i.e. eBay, but I've had my debit and credit card cloned in the space of 2 days....

thanks. i still think it would be good to give something back along the similar lines of scratch cards, but without using an address, online or something like that maybe? i know id appreciate it...
