Anyone had any success with using twitter? setting up a twitter account for your domain or site or whatever and getting some of those follow me sites to increase your followers then tweet about your site and freebies etc?

few hundred, just tweet.
That's probably why it didn't work.
Still, try everything and learn from mistakes, eh?

Best thing to do is to set up a genuine account. Try and be as weird and wonderful as possible. That way more people will be interested in you. Once you have a hefty sum of followers, mention about the site you found

Tried this myself but had no luck, but others have tried and have had a few greens I believe

How do you get people to follow you on twitter? Im not very familiar with twitter, but you cant just send out facebook type friend requests, right? So how do you get noticied?

This was the first way I got some greens when i started out... i got about 4 or 5 greens from it (maybe more)

I had around 2k followers in about 2weeks and was just tweeting... but nothing to do with my site / freebies... just stuff lol and had my site in my profile and description bit

so anyone whos used twitter to get greens, how many followers did you have before mentioning your link? Im trying to build up a following then start bringing it up but only have 35 so far and am impatient.
