I put an advert in my local paper a few days ago (cost me £12) and i've just had a huge massive boom of sign ups in the space of 48 hours !

I've now got 5/11/103 !!! I just cant believe it. Time to start e-mailing those 87 reds !!

Yeah an advert in the paper seemed to work for me, just make sure you get a big slot and make sure its in colour. Put the link in big letters and emphasize the FREE.

was it an actual advert... like on one of the pages, or was it in an adverts section ?

I had the advert on the right hand side of a right page so that would be here (see X's)

That way wherever they put it, it would be the first thing they would see when they turn a page.

Wow, seems worth it. I tried putting it in my local rag but as a tiny free ad in the ads section, didn't get around to finishing it.

Would love to know your wording so it's worth the investment!

This is a good method to share as I don't think that many people live close to each other so we wouldn't be using each others newspaper space!

(I looked into the Metro once but that costs £1,000s!!!)

Is it against any laws or anything to put leaflets into the papers as you deliver them... if you had a paper round ?

Don't think so, and most people would think they would have just come with the Paper anyway so wouldn't bother to do anything about it. You would only be delivering to not many households at all so this is a very limited scheme unless you just delivered leaflets!

Hmm...I dont think its against the law, but you might get into trouble if your caught
