website looks good,

The picture of the itouch cuts the line to the right of it.
you could loose some refs from the "links to my friends" links? (although thats probley fro SEO?)

tbh, nothing to do with seo! just havent got around to moving them. Really need to sit down for a day and do it all. But trying to get a summer job and a placement so not gota lot of time!

I probably owe you a bit of an apology. After seeing you were going to place the ad I decided to try mine again (I had no luck last time). You originally said your advert was going in last week's paper so I arranged mine for this week to ensure they didn't clash. As soon as I realised yours was actually going in this week's I phoned the chronicle to move my advert to next week, which they said they had done.
I checked the paper this morning and was surprised to see my advert, but not yours so assumed you had cancelled it.
Obviously they cocked up and didn't actually move my advert, but I have no control over your advert?
...and I hardly 'stole' your idea and space! Someone else started this thread and I have no control over what the Chronicle publishes!
I suggest you phone them and ask why your advert wasn't published.

I am more annoyed at the Chronicle and not you.

By "stole my idea/space" I meant for this paper as opposed to the "newspaper idea".

I will phone them up and find out what happened. Perhaps they moved my one to next week instead getting them mixed up.

I'll see what they say, and see if they know when it'll be published in the other papers.

You get any success out of this this time?

yes, and the doctor says it was the only time somebody had managed to send him a urine, sperm and faeces sample at once - well I could only find a pair of pants!!

All I can say is I honestly did all I could to try to move the ad to the week after yours so you wouldn't lose out at all. I didn't think it would then have any effect on your chances as you would have already got all the sign ups from that week. Sorry again that they messed up - in hindsight I should have waited another week or two before reinserting my advert.

The results? Nothing so far. I have had around the same number of signups as I normally get - around 5/day.

I have just received an email concerning a refund! Seems the Chronicle didn't want my ad and I got my £30 back. I guess its a good thing as I need money and it seems newspaper advertising doesn't work amazingly well. I may try for a better placed something sometime!
