So can some one just clear up what we are allowed to do in regards to advertising our link on facebook and more importantly...what we're not allowed to do.

I've read over the Terms and Conditions but I am still unsure as to how far we are allowed to take it. I have a new method I want to try out but I don't know if it is allowed or not. I don't want to start it and then my account gets put on hold or banned (provided my method works), so if anyone knows the rules and regulations when it comes to facebook and advertising your link on facebook please let me know.

Thanks

(And no I'm not going to say what my method is...yet)

Just dont go creating accounts and adding people solely for advertising your referral link, then you should be okay.

Right...and if I did that what would happen? Facebook ban or freebie ban (or both)?

I used Facebook to advertise the freebie network about a year ago and they banned my account, but I never got any ban from the freebie network.

I dont use FB anymore and I wouldn't advise it if you value your account as their compliance dept were ruthless

How did you advertise the network? Was it considered spamming or what, and is that what you were actually doing (spamming) or just innocently displaying your link?

Thanks for the reply

What will mostly happen is your account will get banned if you use facebook in a away where you invite friends just to advise them on freebies.

Though if spam levels get high on Facebook with accounts be creating simply for getting referrals then they might send complaints to your freebie network with your referral ID.

It's a risk you take, it's a method thats been around since Social Networks first started.
