Credit card for offer signup

Hi everyone,

New to the whole freebie scene- seems really cool!
I'm trying to get my friends so sign up for some offers, but a lot of them are reluctant to give their credit card details.

Would it work if they signed up with their name and address but my credit card details? i.e. they would't have to worry about something going wrong with their credit card. That would definitely make it a lot easier to convince more people to sign up for offers!

The would need to complet the offer using 100% their own details.

Get them to get prepaid credit cards like idtprime (idtprime.com)

I don't understand why they're hesitant. They're dealing with reputable companies, not the giveaway site itself. Have they never ordered anything online before?

Tell me about it. I don't get it either, but apparently people are a bit paranoid when it comes to using their credit card online...

Probably not since the ToS's say it must be 100% their own details.
I was very very reluctant to try these 'free gift' websites, as the ones I've done in the past few years were all a load of bollocks, but this forum has swayed me to try it out.

Going back and reading that, it sounds like the giveaway sites can't be trusted, which we all know isn't true. Anyway, anyone who processes credit cards online does so via a secure connection (ever notice the https:// in the address?). Sorry, the skepticism surrounding freebies is starting to get to me.

I don't know. Being new to the freebie stuff, I'm a little bit concerned about what I'm reading about giveaway- which is the network I've signed up for and started getting refs on, sadly. Lots of people are complaining that they're not getting their gifts from giveaway.

It might not be an accurate reflection of whether the sites but that's the impression people get.

because they'd all get revoked - if you use your own card then it's not new people completing the offers

you're right many of them will never be persuaded about these free things
especially in a country like mine where using a credit card online is very rare

i hope this will change i couldn't get refs easy ( only 4 credits at xpango )
