Getting refferals from Halls

I am currently a student and therefore have a lot of friends in halls and access to the halls of residents (I don't stay in halls myself). So yea, loads of potentially easy sign ups there.

My question is, is there a rule against using people in Halls? There IP address' won't be the same will it since each has their own connection in their room?...and their mailing address' will be different since they each have their own mail box?

Can anyone clear that up before I unleash my freebie wrath upon my fellow students.

I'd clear this with the freebie networks first. Although everyone might have their individual internet connection, if it's provided by the uni, then it's likely that the IPs could be similar.

This sort of thing can vary from network to network, so it's best to send in a support ticket and ask.

If you send in a support ticket asking this, can you let me know the outcome? I think it will be a no go mind you, bit annoying but you can see the logic, they need to protect their business...

Ok guys just to let you know I have had a reply from the Kudos network. They confirmed that it is fine to do this so long as the IP address' are all different and so are the postal address'. This can even mean just the room number is different. So all the address remain the same except the room number (in a situation where you get lots of people from the same block to do it)...therefore it is unique and allowed.

So for all you Uni students or people with access to Halls...this is potentially a very easy way to get refferals

My local halls have 5000+ students living in them (different blocks, not all in 1 building). Plus that is just my halls...there are loads located around the city and I have friends in all.

Now all I need to do is check with the IT department whether all IP address' out of the rooms are different, which I am sure they are because I play online games with some of them and connect directly via IP.

I was thinking about doing this, im in halls at the moment, the best way i suppose is to make leaflets ? post them around, and litter each of the 14 floors with them. haha....

Haha well you could do that. Get everyone you know to do it first.
Also this might sound slighty sexist or whatever...but try approaching the girls first. 99% of them don't care and are happy to help (so long as you assure them they are not being scammed and its legit). They gladly sign up and thats that. I found that by getting guys to do it, it becomes a bit of a competition. They might sign up for you, but then they go on a refferal haul of their own and end up using people you would have used if you're not fast enough. Girls just normally tend to sign up for you and then not bother after that. Just a suggestion though

Well, i think i can get about 8 or 9 in total if i use the different halls of residences as each is a different ip address i believe. Only problem is that now i live off campus its hard to find people to do this, and iv already been banned twice for sending out emails to entire faculties... Got a few sign ups but no greens !

You would need to check with the Uni (or supplier of the Halls). For mine each IP address is unique and individual so it is fine.

You don't need to guess whether IP addresses are the same, you can check using a site such as What Is My IP Address? - Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more....

I think it's always best to make sure - why risk losing a referral when you have gone to the trouble of convincing them to sign up and complete an offer for you?

I dont know, but doesnt this only show internal ips? And doesn't it need to be a diff exteral ip?
