Problem with congas

Purely my opinion, but has anyone noticed that congas are taking much longer to move now that sites can be restarted.

By this I mean that in the past people would complete the site under their own steam and ask to be removed from the conga, now they can just sit there knowing that whenever the greens come they can be used, and a lot of the time these members may not have been on the forum for months (or even banned) but thats another issue!!!!

dont know, maybe reduce to a 1 green conga although that might as well be a trade!!

and expecting people to be honest about recieving a gift and being removed would just lead to a reduction in the IGMFI thread

banned and in-active members are purged once every 2-3 months, it takes Emma the best part of a day to do this.

as for one green congas lets not go there!

This site is run on php so i don't see any reason why those sort of jobs would be done MANUALLY when it can easily be automated?

Yes, but i'm lazy. I automate anything that can be automated, it saves a LOT of work long term. Obviously things like congas need human intervention but purging out users who were banned 3 months ago is a no brainer that even a computer could work out. lol

most sites have a minimum order of 2 refs or it's good thats it's 2 greens

I also think it's unfair that banned members are re-moved from congas!
What about temp banns?

Well if you get banned you've done something wrong (unless it's an exam ban, and I don't think they'd be removed)

I think the answer is if you're on a conga don't get banned, then you keep your place.

you're generally not banned if it's only a temporary ban (some circumstances may differ). The people that are removed are those that haven't been online for over 2 months and those that are permanently banned.

It also helps to keep them going when people report the post that they've gone green or a sign up has so that we dont have to rely on uis checking the conga threads

if someone helps speed a conga they should get the promised greens regardless of weather they're banned/are active or not
Obv if they can't send they're ref link to a mod they they should be moved down in the conga,

and if they are banned, how will they let the mods know when someone has signed up for them, gone green etc?

Plus, someone who's been banned from exceem permanantly is probably not going to be bothered about reporting sign ups. Why would they want to help a forum that's banned them?

If someone has been banned it's useually for doing something wrong... then they should lose they're privilages, eg Congas.

Those who are Exam banned won't count as they will be coming back and have not done anything wrong
