Optimize your site for iPhones & iPod Touch

Not a huge tip, but 2 things that some people might find handy...

1. Create a homescreen icon for your site
If an iPhone user (or iPod Touch user) wants to add a shortcut your site to their homescreen, you can create the icon that they see when they add it. Just create a 57x57 .png file and name it "apple-touch-icon.png", then save it in your root html folder.

2. Optimize your wordpress blogs
If you install the plugin "wptouch" for a blog using wordpress, it can detect an iPhone browsing your site and will automatically resize and optimize the site/theme to fit perfectly with the iPhone.

Not huge tips, but just kinda nice to know - hope you find them useful

I'm finding it really hard to create a decent 57x57 image... its so damn small!

for the icon, i recommend here or here or other websites like it, you can get an icon with scrolling text. there are other cool things you can do, like the freebiejeebies one which scrolls up. for some reason, animated ones dont seem to work in interent explorer 8....
