Anyone had any luck with this?

my last ad got rejected, but i just did a new one and waiting for approval. I strictly followed the guidelines this time! Don't wanna spend too much money on it though.

Although one of the examples in "many mistakes made" explaination involes how to write a ad exactly like mine!

I had the same problem, I tried three times a while back then gave up when they kept getting rejected. I tried again recently (just a few days ago) and to my surprise was accepted.

The ad text says "Get free gadgets by referring friends. Items include: PS3s, Xboxs, Wiis, TomToms, iPods, laptops and many more."

Was it worth it? In short, no. But maybe too early to tell for sure. A $25 voucher got me 159,365 impressions, 87 clicks and 7 yellows - maybe one or two will turn green, but even if only one does it'd be a (small) profit.

some people have had success, some haven't. It's quite random, and like Jon said, they don't seem to like freebie ads

there is a freebiejeebies group on facebook, with very few members, but i suppose if more people joined and helped eachother then everyone would get truck loads of referrals

I dont think everyone would get a truck load of referrals. freebie jeebies would get a load of direct signups maybe.

Fix the spelling mistake - "reffer" should be "refer" and remove your exclamation marks and brackets, they don't like them.

They strictly state they won't accept ads with incorrect spelling or grammar and ads that contain excessive punctuation...

They have nothing against freebie ads, the example advert in the guidelines is a freebie ad. You just have to follow the guidelines to the T.

Hope this helps.

Edit: 3 days into my Facebook ads campaign and I've had no pendings or greens. Just thought I would add that in. Facebook ads seem to be an epic fail. :P

On the other hand, posting my referral link in my Facebook status has got me 1 green and 1 pending.

Yea, but I wouldn't want to risk it incase they notice another signup from the same IP then decide to hit us hard by charging out cards lol.

I think the fact that multiple people have all had their accounts stoped suggests this is against facebooks terms and conditions, and it would be sensible to perhaps pursue other forms of advertising not on facebook?
