![]() | I've used Dreamweaver, but not NVU.. I've been more partial to content management systems like Joomla or wordpress (how my current site is built) lately. The best thing is, they're free, and have TONS of different free templates and addons. It's a really good way to get a great looking web site up and running with very little coding experience. |

![]() | To be honest, if your wanting to be doing quite a lot of web design and you want it good, then just use notepad. Because you get what you want and you doing get dreamweaver adding in extra little bits. It can get really annoying because these software thingis can change your code and it changes it around willy nilly. Plus if you were ever to get a job in web design then you'd only use notepad(or an equivalent) and no fancy software. [/rant] lol i hope I've "helped". ::JOSH:: |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tbh I don't think DW is that bad. I always have it on "Split" so I can see if any crap is being added in, and so far nothing has...

Nvu is a bit outdated now and doesn't handle CSS all that well. Try Kompozer which is also free but has better CSS support. If you want to stick to coding by hand (which is what I do), then use Notepad++ which is really good. There's also a program called Topstyle Pro, which isn't free but is also really good and I sometimes use it. I think there's also an LE version which is free. | |
