![]() | FestivalsI never got round to doing it this Glastonbury, but i totally regret it, so i just thought i would share. at pretty much every festival there is either going to be an Orange "Chill and Charge" or an O2 tent. These are just places where you can recharge your mobile. Now, at glastonbury there were places where you can lock up your phone, and there are others that u had to sit and wait (effectivly forcing you to buy a drink etc) looking around i saw so many people reading scraps of paper, the back of coke bottles, or just lookin into the distance. this is obvioulsy the typa place u want to advertise ... kinda like in front of a urinal when you can do nothing but read whats in front of you ... Basically on each podium (with about 8 chargers on each) just go and wack down 4 A4 bits of paper, and say 20 cards. People can read what its all about, as well as putting cards in their wallets etc... i know a lot of people at festivals are ****ed, but i know for sure that there would be at least 5 people at my podium who woulda be able to read/understand/take a card. There were about 20 podiums, all with people who would rather spend time charging their phone then watching music, so therefore must be into that sorta stuff. anywhoos... im going to EXIT festival in serbia next week, so if anyone else has any festival advertising ideas, just shout out ... im defiantly going to be doing this tho ... EDIT: Also, at about 10 podiums there where laptops connected to the internet ... perfect for leaving your website on, people looking through your site ...

![]() | Re: FestivalsThat's a really good idea mate, with hundreds of thousands of people wandering around you're bound to get someone to sign up! I've thought about just printing leaflets myself but i'm waiting till my website's up and running so i've got something to put on it, might be a while yet... Also if you're thinking of doing it at Exit you might not have much luck because at the moment i think most of the networks are UK / USA only, if Serbia has coverage on FJ i'd be very surprised! Also i've just noticed your name says Farnham under it - i went to Uni at Farnham! Small town, small world - are you at Uni there or college? |

![]() ![]() | Re: FestivalsI went to Projekt Revolution on Sunday and I've got to say that before the thing started, people were handing out free cd's promoting new albums etc, all business card sized, and if i'm truthful, 90% of them were on the floor before the end of the night.. same with leaflets that were being handed out..

1) dont hand them out, just dump them on tables at the phone charge place. 2) its a perfect market audience. 3) it only takes like, 40 pages of A4 paper Max (some posters, some cut into cards), or some cards if your not making them yourself 4) at the festival, it'll only take 5 minutes to dump them on takes as reading material for the wait. anywhoo... 10% return on them wouldnt really be sniffed at either :P
