You can use dreamweaver like a text editor as well though, just edit the html directly in code view.

Best tool for websites is a plain old text editor.

I found that Dreamweaver always adds code you don't want etc. - it it's OK as just a text editor, but from my experience it's a load of rubbish!

If you switch to design view it does add a load of crap but I like the pretty colours it makes your code

yeah the colours are very good, it helps you if you forget to close a tag or something silly like that..

And the intellisense also helps when you cant be bothered typing the words.
