Basically just looking for link exchanges with established freebie/iPhone sites.

Looking for PR2 and over realistically. Can link from within content too for those with higher PR sites.

Realised I haven't really got any decent links from freebie/iPhone sites yet and this is really what I (and everyone I guess...) should be concentrating on.

Fox, you prob know but Google only updates PR every 3 months so dont panic yet

link exchanges are not the way to go, you need 1 way links from websites that are simular to your site.
google frowns on link farming and will have a negative result.
also check sites for the nofollow tag in the source otherwise its a waste of time posting ur link on them.

yippee, my website is less than 3 months since I updated it. I don't know how google works

Give it time, it took about 2 months of getting about 30 - 50 uniques a day through google for it to increase. Only ever had a page rank of 1 before so quite please seeing as i just experiment with different techniques which some must work!!

really? i dont get it with my site i get a few hits a day, maybe 1 or 2 from SE's so i think its my keywords that are failing as my PR is ok

any advice?

Unfortuantly to many people are exchanging links with other freebie sites and its likely it will have a negative effect. Look at any freebie site now and where its linking to, and then where those sites are linknig to. It like a massive link farm

Your better finding one way links
