Question

Question about duplicate IPs

Hey,

Basically, I want to get greens quickly, but I am also willing to pay for them.
I know that having multiple addresses under the same IP as your referrals is classed as fraud, but I was wondering: if I signed them all up under the same IP but completed the £5/£10 offers (rather than say Lovefilm), would this still constitute fraud?

I've searched around, but I haven't really found an answer to this question. I just thought it might work, seeing as I AM giving genuine business to these sites.

Thanks in advance.

Of course, why wouldn't it?

Re: Question about duplicate IPs

Really? That's too bad

I only thought it would work because I would be paying for each referral, so if, for example, I needed 5 referrals, I would pay £5x5=£25. So, the sites would still be getting their money.

Re: Question about duplicate IPs

On this topic, if a different PC is used to sign up on a wireless network in the same house as the original sign up PC will it recognise the IP address as the same and therefore put the referral on hold? Thanks

if you want to complete offers for yourself you might be better doing one of the points based sites ie points.freebiejeebies , pointsrewards, points.kudos etc

Not looking good mate, what network is this on? Ideally you should send in a support ticket before you carry on getting referrals.

100 people on the same ip address? really? at my work i think each block of 5 has the same ip address. and some people have individual ones, i know because we do remote pc access.

Send in a support ticket and ask Ash (the owner of RI who is a member on here) if it's still ok for you to carry on getting referrals

Good luck mate, let us know how you get on

Re: Question about duplicate IPs

Would there be any chance of a next door neighbour having the same IP address?

I ask because it's almost certain I could get him to do an offer but I remember having issues with rapidshare a while back claiming my IP had reached download limits all the time. Not necessarily anything to do with my neighbour but something to do with BT's handling of IP's.

Only if he shared the same internet connection as you (or was mooching off your Wi-Fi!)
