A lot of people were getting greens from facebook at one point. Used to be a very popular method. Never tried it and not sure if it still works.

Loosing your account is a bit steep and i dont think i could afford to that really, but what i mean is surely theres lots of dedicated groups to greens and if not we shud start collecting - i m sure many people would start joining, also most people on facebook have tons of 'friends' who they can message who aren't really friends who would mind about it because they're more acquaintainces really

I sent a few messages to friends on facebook then started to get a message coming up saying if i carried on spamming my account would be deleted, i think that was after about 20 messages, i think you can leave your refferal link on the 'posts' section in some groups but most of these prob get deleted

its not really a website used for advertising, although i'm sure if yu put it on your account info without spamming it would be ok?

Oh I see, I suppose they dont like advertising but facebook isnt loosing money or anything? haha. its not like its illegal.. is it?!

Facebook is social networking and they get paid to run adverts (based on the number of members Facebook has, means it seems more popular to advertisers)

If people then start closing their accounts cos they are getting spammed then Facebook will lose their advertising revenue, which of course is why they are doing it, not to provide a service as they may try and make you believe

All I had done was posted in a few groups and on the marketplace and they took a hatred to it and banned me with no appeal - not that I was bothered as that site is addictive

Bidvertiser let you put official ads on facebook without risking your account, they appear on the popular games, such as pirates, zombies etc etc, there was also a post on here (do a search) for $20 of free bidvertiser credit.

I've made a facebook group explaining how the system works, with all my referral links on it, invited all my friends (160), and only around 30 joined the group. About 6 people joined FreebieJeebies and only 3 went green. I'm in the process of making another one including photos of stuff i've recieved this time! But i'm dubious to how effective a method it is. I know my friends are already tired of me banging on about the system, some very close friends even refusing point blank to sign up despite offering them money! And after a while I feel like a bit of a whore, steering every conversation into convincing people they need a lovefilm free trial and such. For now i'm working on a normal website which i think will be much more effective.
Also i've never had any threats of closing my account because i contained all the info in a group and have only sent 1 invitation so far to all my friends. I doubt Facebook would have a problem with that.

I think so long as you contain it to "friends" then you will be ok

The problem arose when I started touting around the site - all it needs is one spam report and FB will close you down quick smart

I have tried facebook but just invited my friends, also set up a group.Haven't really spammed on the site but got a warning, even though i kept it to friends. Dont really understand as the amount of crap i get sent everyday is unbelievable.

Facebook's stance if you put it into marketplace is that it is against their t&c's, i got quite a few greens (5+) out of listing and then advertising for a few quid as a featured ad. but seems of late they have added that 'pyramid or free gift' schemes are not allowed. They threatened me with deletion also..
