a question about my freind using my computer

wow i cant beleive this actually goes on im shocked. any way just signed up to the iphone will give it a try. my freind is here he has his own address and e-mail and wants to use my computer if i switch off my modem and switch is back on so it changes my IP will he be able to sign up with out me getting put on hold

the best thing to do is send a support ticket with the details. most sites will understand

That won't change the IP address! Don't do it!

are you sure?? im pretty sure on broad band if you pull the plug and put it back in it changes

Well, if you want to take a risk of being put on hold and not getting a freebie, fell free to try. You asked for advice and the_saint answered correctly (in my view)

Best thing to do is get your mate to do it on his own puter.

Try this site My IP - What is my IP address? Free IP Tracer, IP Locator, Hide my IP address and make a note of your IP address. Unplug the broadband and try it again and see what happens.

If it was as easy as unplugging the broadband and plugging it back in everyone would do it! (note- I would never dream of doing such a thing, I just meant everyone else
