 | shop adverts: do they work?hi, i was just wondering whether anyone else has tried advertising in a shop window, as i am thinking of placing a poster in my local newsagents. wont be able to put my referal link (to long), so would it be better to just put a email address, where they can email me and i can send them all the details, icluding the referal link? any ideas? thanks Trisha  |

 | Re: shop adverts: do they work?On the point about putting adverts up and people remembering your URL, i tried a similar thing at Uni. My advert got taken down and i got told off but what i did to solve the problem of people remembering the URL was to make tear off slips at the bottome that they could take with them. Of course the problem is that they may just get bored and not type in your unique referal thing at the end, but in that case perhaps just put your email address on the tear off slip like you said. I don't know how many people will see or get interested in it, but if it's free to put one up in the shop you might as well. You have nothing to lose!! |

| Re: shop adverts: do they work?im thinkin of puttin some up in my uni. my flyer just says FREE, then a pic of ps3 under it. then "do u want something for nothing?" and finally my site "freewebs.com/something-for-nothing" dunno i havent had the balls to walk round and put them up yet. im still new to this, and it feels weird... |

| Re: shop adverts: do they work?Heres a ridiculously small picture of what I'm guna be plastering all over Bournemouth uni later this week:  The bits at the bottom are tear-off strips so that people can take the (shortened) url and my 'other' email with them. Think it'll work? >EDIT - the bit you cant read says somethin along the lines of complete an offer, get yours mates to do the same and the ps3 is yours, and also i have recieved blah blah blah already...
