Trading Guidelines - PLEASE READ

People who abbuse these guide lines regularly may well get a warning.

Trade Types

There are 2 types of trade allowed on exceem
  • Green for Green
  • Green for Cash
How a Typical Trade Should Take Place
1) A user (will reffer to as user A) will post a thread in the trading forum requesting a trade, either green for green, green for cash.
  • If green for green, user A must state what sites they are prepared to join.
  • If green for cash, user A must state how much and if paid when the green appears, or if its when the item is shipped
  • User A must not post or state "pm/email/msn/phone/etc" me for more info, all trade request must be made in the trade thread
2) If you are intrested in trading with user A, you must post on the thread that you are intrested in doing the trade, and if it is a green for green trade you must state what site you wish user A to join.

3) User A must then look at any replies of offers to trade, and deciede which user they with to trade with. Once chosen this must be stated as a reply to the trade thread, along with the first post edited to "User A trading with User B, green for green/cash/hardware, (if green for green state the 2 sites being traded)

4) Users A & B will use the forums private messaging function to swap refferal links

5) Users A & B will both join up the sites, and complete the offer straight away no waiting for payday, no waiting for offers to rotate, it has to be instant. Screenshots may be requested by either User A, or B, as well as by the admins and mods, so please read up on how to take them and do take them.

6) When both users go green they must state this on the trade thread, sometimes due to delays with the network one users green may appear more quickly than the other users's

7) when both users are green, user A must edit the first post in the trade to trade completed, and pm a admin/mod and request the trade is completed. at this point both user A and B should leave feedback in the feedback forum, please dont leave any feedback in the trade thread

8) if there are any issues during the trade, dont PM or email, make a reply in the trade thread. if you have serious concerns then contact a admin ASAP

Trading Points

A user will gain 1 extra point for completing a sucessfull trade. Any previous trades wont be added to this system.

Trading points and feedback can only be used if the tradeing guidelines have been used fully.

No "post crapping"

Post crapping is when someone will post on a thread, but the reply does not have any relevance to the thread.

i.e i post a "green for £10 thread" and a user replying "can you go green for green", that is considered post crapping, if the thread poster wanted to go green for green, then they would have stated it.

Any posts of this nature will be deleted along with a warning pm sent.

No "bumping"

No bumping of threads, all replies to your own tradeing threads must be meaningfull, posting that a offer has been added counts as bumping, just edit your first post.

If your thread falls onto page 2 of the trading forum, you may then post a bump post, this is the only exception to the rule.

Any posts of this nature will be deleted, along with a warning pm sent.

Exceem does not recomend completing any form of trade via the private messaging system or email, keep all the updates in the thread

Re: Trading Guidelines

I'd add to that, that if someone tries to initiate a trade not following these guide lines (i.e. by just PMing someone) that we first point them at these guidelines, and if they still persist, report them immediatly to an admin.

Also how about a list of all the members who have completed a trade sucessfully and thus have been verified.

That is allready against the rules, if people get pm's of this nature report it to a admin, and we will hand out a weeks ban and for people who do it alot we wil turn of your private messaging for you

Re: Trading Guidelines

What should happen if a network foils a trade?
For example, if I'm trading with a newbie, and they complete an offer properly but the network refuses to acknowledge it? Are there any guidelines for this or is it just tough luck?

Re: Trading Guidelines

If someone has completed an offer properly they should be credited eventually. If the credit is applied manually, it is likely to take much longer, so members should keep each other informed of progress so it doesn't look like they've scammed the other member.

Re: Trading Guidelines

But what if the network refuses? Like, I've seen the Invictus Network flatly refuse to credit a user even if they send in screenshots of a completed offer, because according to them their advertisers haven't paid.
Just worried that it will happen to me because that's the network I'm working on at the moment...

Re: Trading Guidelines

Hmmmm, we'll have to think about that. My initial thoughts would be this: if it was a free offer (e.g. Screenselect) then the member should do another offer. If it wasn't a free offer, but they won some money, they should also do another offer. If they are out of pocket, e.g. gambled and lost their whole deposit, then they should provide screenshots to prove it and would not be obliged to do another offer, provided they have exhausted all avenues of appealing thier green.

Any more thoughts?
