ipodgrab refs not showing

I have mentioned this elsewhere, but I think it is important to record it here in the Grab forum. Last week I signed up under lui's link and have completed my offer, yet I am not showing up on lui's list of referrals as yellow or green. Apparently Frank has had a similar problem.

If this is a technical fault, it needs to be addressed immediately - as exceemers we are able to monitor closely who has signed up and who is showing or not, but this may not always be the case.

I have sent in support ticket and am awaiting a response. But this is a little disconcerting.

Here is the reply I rec'd from ipod grab support:

Hi,

Your account shows that you weren't referred by anyone.

You must ensure that you join up from the link your referrer gives you.
This is the only way we can track who has referred who.

Unfortunately, we are unable to amend your account. Your only option
would be to request a deletion of this account and rejoin.

Needless to say, I am not pleased by this and have no idea how it happened. I have no recollection of having visited ipodgrab in the past and I joined by using lui's link that he sent me.

Reckon Lee will give you a manual credit to cover the one you are losing by cancelling ?

Just to re-iterate that our referral system is working fine.

I have replied to bischbosch and demonstrated a referral on his account.

I see the new users all day and can confirm they have been referred and the system is working fine.

You must always ensure you use the referral link, for us to track where you have come from.

Unfortunately, we can't change the referrer ID.

I would just like to say to everyone that Lee has been very helpful in looking into this and replying to my emails. And we seem to have reached a solution, even though the mystery remains about how I 'got in' without a link.

This is exactly what you need when you hit a problem - support that actually listens and acts. (Not like some automated responses I've had from a certain nameless network.)

something to be aware of when copying and pasting links is most forum software (and some email software) add ...'s in the middle of the link so it takes up less space on the screen, but when clicked it sitll goes to the full link,however if someone copies and pastes the link the ..'s can then get transfered across
