Free but not worth it! Giveaway are terrible!

Hey im new, just thought i'd share my experiences of the giveaway network.

I completed the xbox site mid june.. took two weeks to be verified which resulted in one of my greens being cancelled. I managed to get another green straight away.

Then i had to wait just over a MONTH!! to be verified again, when really only one green needed to be verified!

After this verification, i had another green cancelled! but the worst thing about it...it wasn't even the new green that got cancelled!!

Certainly took the fun out of getting a free xbox, which i doubt i'll ever get.

Welcome, and recently giveaway have had some problems, therefore have been a little slow, however, they have now verified most of the accounts.

Although it has been slow, the support in the end was very helpful, and I'm sure Tab will help you if you ask nicely.

Although giveaway aren't the speediest they are reliable. sounds like you got some bad luck there mate

Stigma - Although the support staff were friendly (Lisa) I've found the support not very helpful, and felt that they were just stringing me along.

As before, verifications should only take ten working days to process. At present there are no expected delays. However, feel free to query if the process exceeds this timeframe." - The start of my second time being verified.

Me-
"Hello,

Its been over the ten working days.... "

Lisa -

We appreciate your patience in this - your verification will be processed within the next ten working days.

I know, but they have been having problems. My support tickets were not very helpful either, but I PM'ed Tab via eXceem, which I guess should only be used in very bad circumstances.

With regards to the one month wait for verification, this was an exception rather than the rule. Future verifications will not take this long and was due to circumstances out of our control. We really are sorry for the dealy this caused.

Regarding your referrals that have been put on hold, there are a few reasons that a green referral that was verified ok, will then be put on hold a month later. The most obvious being that they have broken the rules of the site within that month, for example by creating another account. I know it can be annoying having to go get more greens to make up for ones that have been put on hold, but we feel it is the fairest way to deal with the situation.

I am sorry that you have had such a hard time with your referrals, I would just try to make sure that any future referrals understand the rules of the site before signing up.

I only have 9 greens now tho! I wouldn't be as annoyed if the two greens had of went red at the first time being verified. Rather than wait 2 weeks...one green cancelled..wait a month..and another green cancelled. I'l be here forever! lol

Right, but say i had 11 greens the first time being verified and that one that did go red went red... I would have moved on to the next stage?

I havnt personally receieved anything from the giveaway network YET, but compare their delivery times etc to freepays and they are like the concorde of freebie sites!

I know this isn't directed to me - But because the site was having some delays, during the delays where you couldn't be verified, that other person went red, therefore, if you had been verified and there were no delays, afterwards, that guy could have done the same (whatever rules they broke), and then the network would still have to deal with a 'fraudster' - or whatever they were.

What Stigma said... but yes, if you had 11 refs and one had gone red you would have been verified ok and been able to order your free gift. It's just really unfortunate that one of your referrals broke the rules of the site in between you getting verified after getting the 10th green again.

Yeah, and what I'm also saying Donal is, that although you might have been verified okay and then ordered, it still wouldn't have been fair on anyone after they broke the rules, I know you don't think it's fair, but you should make sure your referrals know the rules (once again, not your fault) but you could maybe re-inforce that.

Listen mate your close to getting a free xbox 360 worth hundreds... yes fair enough complain about the hassle, but at the end of the day your getting hundreds of pounds worth of stuff for next to nothing...

I just got another 28 yellows, and 3 of them have said they have completed an offer so hopefully i should be verifying soon for the third time...and hopefully its third time lucky. I'll keep ya posted
