its not that i dont want you to reply i do, but just stop saying you arent going to take part in the debate, and why wouldnt you take part, if you have done nothing wrong etc etc then you have nothing to be worried about.

so, if say i had done this method to complete one of your sites would you have been ok with it?

Re: Dear Matt

It's because I'm slightly drunk and can't resist the erudite conversation that regularly occurs on Exceem, drkul

If you had carried out such action, no you wouldn't have been placed on hold. Our users spam eBay, forums, and other people that may not necessarily have asked to receive the email in the first place. But having said that, I've never, too my knowledge needed Viagra, yet I receive several emails every day wanting me to buy a supply.

Yes, as an individual I was technically 'spamming', but our sites and others success relies on the viral marketing of people like yourself, who spread our sites via word of mouth. Clearly there are boundaries, but these tend to be fuzzy given the true nature of the internet. At the end of the day, if one person gets 6 people to complete one of our sites which means we have to buy a £200 iPod, but has actually referred several thousand people, who complete offers but don't reach payout, I'm not going to complain at all. Actually paying for this advertising costs a bomb, and is the reason why these sites tend to be very profitable. It's a necessary evil of how these sites are run, and it will continue to be so for as long as they exist.

Re: Dear Matt

cool thanks for the reply (apart from your usually self righteousness at the top)

if its ok to do this kind of advertising on your sites then fair enough if you used the method yourself.

Re: Dear Matt

I am a member of a few of the GT sites, each having a different email addy, and I didnt recieve any of the emails, so seeing that a couple of others have said the same, I think its safe to assume that the email's didnt come from the GT database

as to the whole "is spaming right or wrong" debate, im not even going to go there, I know that alot of the methods you guys use to get your greens are in breech of some sites/companies t+c, and some have had to spend over £500 in coding new software to prevent this happening on their sites.

KoolKenny is at it now;

Hi everyone!

Do you need a new PC, but don't want to spend loads of money on it? Well now you can get the hottest Apple Mac out at the moment - the Apple iMac G5 completely free! Sounds too good to be true? It's not!

Simply follow these 3 easy steps and you'll receive a brand new Mac worth over 1000 pounds!

1. Click this link and create an account: http://**************/index.php?referral=XXXX

2. Complete ONE of their offers. I recommend Chit Chat Bingo it only requires a 10 pound deposit, but if you play your money right you can win easy money, plus get a free Mac!

3. Refer some friends to do exactly the same!

Once you've completed all the steps all you need to do is wait for your free iMac to show up. Not convinced? Just check out their 'proof' galleries for the many gifts they've already sent out. This is the most legitimate company offering 'free gifts' in the UK, and if you complete the 3 steps above, you will receive your free iMac G5! So good luck!

Click here for more information: http://**************/index.php?referral=XXXX

Thanks!
